In a recent turn of events concerning the dredging up of a channel in the waters between India and Sri Lanka, being opposed by the followers of Hindu faith, the ruling Govt filed an affidavit in Supreme Court, challenging the very existence of Lord Ram. The existence of Ram-Set or Adam's Bridge has been confirmed even by NASA. See relevant web pages for details and satellite pictures. too. Independent studies have prove non-feasability of project, destroying an important religious edifice, and the ecological advantages. Yet, in an attempt at the deism theology, or whatever, it is being given the go-ahead. I am sure it hurts the religious sentiments of all Hindu Asians, not just Indians. What do you think, should Govts be allowed to play around with religious beliefs, or debase any faith?

What do we do when we have atheist Governments and Central Governments that care only for the minorities interest. Well, anyway, the good news is that Court has ordered to refile an affidavit and the dredging is to be suspended till the next hearing in January 2008. Hope that atleast this one has a good ending.
