Would You be Annoyed when the Dining Environment is Noisy?

Would you mind that the dining environment is noisy? Tonight, I went out with my best buddies for dinner and drinks (all together in one place). Maybe we hadn't gone out for a long time (for a few months, they came to my place instead). We felt a bit annoyed with the noisy environment we had. It was like in the war zone or something. The ladies around us were talking really loudly, blending with the really strange songs the restaurant had. We found that we kind of have to raise our voices too to make sure we hear each other clearly. *laughs* Now I am home having an all quiet environment and I feel so relieved! Oh yes, my throat is hurting a little now! *laughs* What would you feel if you dine in some places with the noisy surroundings?

Hello wondericequeen, First of all, I will try to avoid noisy places or places with loud musics. I just can't stand the noise. But if I have no choice, I will just have to be patient for one or two hours until the dinner is over.

I hate loud music! Even in pubs! I just can't understand when their music is so loud that people are yelling at everyone!

Yes, I will not be comfortable and I could not eat properly on a noisy restaurant..I don't think I could digest my food..:) that is why, when we go out I chose a place where we can talk without shouting at each other, I love quiet places..

If you are out with your buddies then its ok..! I enjoy, after all its all a pure fun at the end. but I can never tolerate it when I am out with my family and also some times with my BF..!! When with family you need to get a little serious mood and good surrounding. Cause with family it should always be in a quite place or say a bit homely place. WIth buddies we cna just enjoy any where. And after all when we all friends meet we don't exactly have dinner its just a wild night out...thats what I expect. :)

I think I would, especially if it was as loud as you are describing it. I mean, if I'm going out with a group of friends, I want to be able to hear them, hear the conversation and not have to talk extremely loudly just so I can be heard myself. I mean, after all, the point of going out is so you can reconnect and talk and what not, just eat and go your separate ways. I think some of those places just get too wild, and the music they have playing is just as loud or louder than the people eating at the place itself.

Oh yes! The music too! Sometimes they have the music too loud that they don't allow people to talk *laughs*.

Well that's the problem isn't it? You've said it there yourself. You had to raise your voices to be heard so other people around you (forget about the noisy ladies around you) but the other customers would also be raising their voices to be heard above your chatting and tables by them would also raise their voices, and so on and so forth. Is that the only restaurant that you could have gone to? I feel very peeved if I go out for a meal and there are noisy kids on neighbouring tables screaming and the parents do nothing to control them. When I go out for dinner it's a treat and I don't expect to hear constant screaming which is why I avoid going to places where they have children or I will ask to be seated as far away from the tables with children as possible. You might think that's mean of me but I have no kids and I don't need to have other people's kids' screaming inflicted on me when I go out for a relaxing meal with my husband or with friends.

We went there one time but it wasn't that noisy before. I guess it's the combination of people sometimes. Yes, everyone is raising the voice, otherwise we would seem like we both were eating our individual meals.

When I go somewhere for dinner it s usualy to visit with someone. I rarely go out to eat for the purpose of just eating. It would bother me a lot if it was to loud or busy to carry on a conversation. I hate it when resturants are like that.

Yeah I get annoyed when it gets pretty noisy in a restraunt thats pretty much why we dont go on the weekends lol well that and the waiting. But eating out in a restraunt is suppose to be relaxing not annoying. I mean I dont mind noise oblessly but I hate it when its loud because you cant hear other people in your party speak and I dont like listing to other peoples conversations.

I already get used to the noisy dining environment. Here everywhere is so noisy because of the crowded people.

My husband wouldn't be able to hear. He can't block out background noise very well. We would probably have to leave. We sat near a kitchen one time and the noise in the kitchen was horrible. It was the only diner in the small town we were in so we had to eat there. We really didn't say anything. The tables were right on top of everyone, so yelling would be in some stranger's ear. Not sure how they kept their business going, probably the lack of competitions. But they did have good food. Just don't go there to talk.

i would be annoyed of course especially if i am spending quality with my love ones. but well it is a public area and people are free to do what they want but - respect must be observed. consider other people around.
