Is there such a thing as an Ideal Company?

I'm looking for work right now and I'm having problems finding that company that will be good for me professionally in terms of advancement and good for our family. I'm torn between working for a well-known company with a position that is hands on, good for career advancement but stressful and time-consuming so it'll most likely take away time from my family. The other company is more laid back and understanding towards families but the position is something that you can get stuck in for years. Are there other companies that are both family-friendly and good for career advancement or are those companies too good to be true?
