Does your cat hate your beauty products?

Painting nails can be a little of a mission especially when your darling disapproves. I was in the lounge painting my toenails when I heard a funny sound coming from my cat. Her faced was all screwed up and she was doing a strange thing with her tongue. She was so offended by the smell that she crawled underneath the T.V. cabinet for the rest of the night. I realise nail polish is potent but I had no idea my cat would react that way.Bye

LOL, yes my cat is the same way. If I put on different kids of lotion, or nail polish, he makes a weird face then immediately gets up and runs away and sometimes he'll come up and hit me =)

Cats certainly let you know when they don't like something. But I would have to say their faces look quite cute when there all scrunched up. As for the fumes I hope there are other nail polishes out there that aren't so potent. Do you or the myLot community know any brands that I could try? I might be barking up a very tall tree but I have to ask. Bye

I heard a long time ago cats can't stand the smell of nail polish..I don't know why that is...I know my dogs hate it when I spray my body sprays..they found a way to put their paws over their noses..I don't even use that much, I guess they just don't like them...

I guess we tend to drown our pets with lots of smells, some worse than others. Maybe we should look at using natural products around the home. Living in harmony with your furry friends sounds fantastic but sometimes it is impossible to do. We are creatures of habit and generally when we find a product that we like we stick to it. Hmmm!

My cat really doesn't like it when i spray body spray. I'm not sure if she's scared of the noise it makes or if she just doesn't like the smell, or maybe both, but she kinda sits and gives me evils and then tries to creap past to get away from me when i'm spraying! I try not to do it round her but if she's in my bedroom at the time i don't have a choice!
