Did ever happen to you that you was eating something what you would never put to your mouth, but they told you after you ate it?

When I visit a new city, state, or country, I like to go see what the place is known for. For instance, if I went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ONE of the things I would want to see is the Liberty Bell, because it is very well known and historical. But if I talk to the locals who know about a really great spot, I'll try to go there too, because the locals know better than anyone where the good and interesting sites are.I also like to taste the traditional cuisine of the locals. It can get quite interesting if you go to the Caribbean or even New Orleans. Sometimes it gets pretty daring when a person tries new foods.

If I go to a new place, I would really want to see the historical buildings and people and their behavior. I think those are unique in each place and everywhere is different and that's why it would be so much fun. Also, next I would want to try out the traditional food in the place! Oh I just love travel! One thing I would least prefer to go would be the shopping mall even though I love shopping. I think because of the globalisation, every store looks pretty much the same. I would prefer to go to the local market or the flea market.

I want to see a warm beach on the ocean with palm trees gently swaying in the breeze and no other people except the husband and me. Ideally, not far away there will be a pleasant uncrowded village with a nice little grocery store and a restaurant with tasty food and some nice clean place with rooms to stay overnight. A ways off some peaceful mountains would be nice, with lovely valleys and plains between them and there, too, a few castles turned into museums would be nice. Hopefully they would have affordable deli items on sale for picnicking on the grounds. Ah, yes, I am already there in my mind's eye. No dress codes please. I want to come as I am.

I like to see lots of different stuff when I travel. I like to see the architecture, and walk through buildings, churches, and the city. I also like to go to some galleries to check out artwork. I enjoy trying the local foods, and like just sitting in a restaurant and watch people walk by. I also like to do some shopping, and see what type of clothes and jewellery different places have to offer.

Most people who travel to different places, look out for places of tourist interests which includes historical relics or monuments. One cannot go on see the places from morning to evening. Say 3 or 4 places in a day tires you and then people would like to relax with food. So they would like to taste the food of the place. Later a nap and then resume the sight seeing or shopping. So a good traveller combines all the activities in his travel plan.

Mine is a bit funny, when I arrive in a new country or state, the historical places I consider my second priority. This should be scheduled and definitely can't be done in just a day. The first place I go to? heh heh.... the Supermarket!!! Its kinda weird, but looking for things that is not usual in supermarkets in my own country, that catches my curiosity. Vegetables, fruits, heck! I would even take pictures of the unusual fruits that I would see, and be brave on tasting them! ha ha! That is some adventure! Going around comes next, I am so much a walker! When I enter a mall you would definitely see me pass on all the floors! Cheers!
