I've been considering buying a new computer but all of them seem to have vista-I work from home & am required to download software so my calls can be routed to my home.Alot of ppl are saying that if you have vista it will mess up your pc.Also,I've heard that all of the bugs haven't been worked out of vista yet. What are y'all's opinions of Vista & if software is compatible w/ xp shouldn't it also go fine w/ vista?

Some people say Windows Vista is not yet stable and some people say that it is not a good Opearating system but I would say Windows Vista is great and nice operating system in terms of good features specially in a graphics and I don't encounter any problem using Windows Vista. I am using right now Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. Sometimes I used Windows Vista, but I am like a new beginner when I used it thats why I go back to Windows XP. I will tell you the truth, Windows Vista is a good Operating System, because they have a good configuration and a lot of features rather than Windows XP. I used Windows XP because it is a friendly user.

Windows Vista certainly has a lot of compatability problems at the moment, but this should not deter you from buying a new computer. The hardware and software configuration of a new system will be selected according to requirements and the compatability with vista will be taken into consideration.

I don't like Windows Vista at all. Some time ago my colleague bought a Dell desktop and it was already installed Windows Vista. However, many things can't run because of this new operating system. And even the Dell staff suggested us to use Windoes XP Professional. Therefore, I have to format it and then install Windoes XP Professional.

Well...Windows Vista is a bit new thing...Those friends of mine who tried it said that it is a kinda heavy thing...Your system must be of at least 1 GB RAM plus Graphics card to support its configuration...Moreover,I have also heard that it did not run some of the games in their systems while XP ran them easily...So,I suggest that you should go with Vista only if you are planning to buy a heavier system... Good Luck.
