Are you a leader, a follower or something in between? I'm a little shy and quiet so I don't tend to be the leader type, but I'm too independent to be a follower. So I'm in between the two which means at times I'm a leader but I'm seldom a follower. At least once I was in the situation of being both. In basic training in the Army I was a squad leader which made me a leader but it was the Army so I also had to be a follower. If necessary I can be a leader, for example in basic training I, in effect, prevented a riot. But I prefer just going my independent way. What are you tendencies?

Hi stealthy! Leadership is about getting things done.I am a leader. I work in a Bank in a leadership position and even when i was in my teens i have had this habit of making followers around me. I like to take charge of situations and get things done. I don't wait for others to respond but take the lead when ever there is a need. Leadership qualities are inbuild in your charecter 60% and the rest can be developed by you. Leaders are those who dare and not afraid of what the consequences would be. He/she should even be ready to take criticisms and failure. All the best!

I am a born leader. I never follow. Throughout my life in any relationship i have always been the lead player, the one everyone goes to, the one all confide in, the one everyone looks to for answers.
Im not sure why or what causes this reaction to me from others but its always been so. I personally wouldn't change a thing. I cant see myself falling in line, i am anticonformity all the way... if its the trend i do the opposite, so why do so many follow me on that path? Maybe everyone wants to go that way and im the person with the weed wacker to clear the trail. Who knows...
Lead...... never follow.

You just explain the way I feel! :) I am not also neither a leader (as I am joking, I hate having somebody behind my back :)), nor a follower (I hate when somebody who lacks leadership qualities - or even common sense - tries to impose his or her ridiculous ideas on me). The only case when I am glad to be a follower is when the leader is worth following but this doesn't happen very often. Being in charge - i.e. being a leader - can also be rewarding but maybe I've become too lazy for that. :) Generally I feel best, when I am my own boss and have no subordinates.

In my corporate job, I just would like to be a follower to save my energy because when I come home, I need my sanity and strength to run household as a parent-leader. Because anyways, at the end of the day, its always family that is most important than anything else :)
