What made the Pirates of the Carribean a blockbuster movie?

Well the simple obvious answer is that a Blockbuster movie is a movie that does well and "breaks the block" meaning that many people went to see it in the theaters. Pirates of the Carribean was a blockbuster because many people went to see it. The more complex answer would be D/ all of the above. For some people it was probably the story that interested them. For others it could have been the acotrs that attracted them to the film. For a few it could have been the director. Each person has their own reason for going to see a movie in the theater but whatever it is all of the people who went to see it for whatever reason combines to equal a blockbuster hit.

i would say the actors. i would also say that we were ready for a different movie. we have not had a good movie like this in a long time, besides ones like harry potter or lord of the rings. i loved this movie, i was actually watching it again (for like the 100th time) last night.

Both the story and the actors. I love Johnny deep I think he's acting is amazing. I love his personality in Pirates of the carribean. So I would say the story line but the actors top it off with their greatacting skills.....

the film is based on peritales because pirates cannot be exist in reality so the movies is based on peritale i think it will not a blockbusters

For me, it was all about Jonny! His performance (especially in the first movie) was so amazing! No one but him could have pulled it off, and he keeps me coming back for more!

the octopus man!lol. honestly, its how good the movie was written. i strongly believe that good storyline + good deliverance of the cast = blockbuster/worthy-to-watch movie. i dont care how good the animation or the effect was if it doesnt have a strong storyline it would flop as a good movie. but, addition to good storyline, JOHNNY DEPP! god, the mas was admirable. he is flexible. i heart him. hihi
