i was just imagining how a great weekend this will be for me.. a comfy room in our house, a quiet place with only the sound of tv downstairs and maybe a little bickering between my nieces.. the comfort of my bed while writing letters and scrapbooking... i was looking forward to this because i hadnt done much last weekend..
but then, with the bad luck hovering around me the other day which started with someone eating my 3 pieces of pan de sal (bread) i was reserving for breakfast.. having to go home together with an officemate i dont really like, internet connection was so slow..and i found out that i made a mistake in registering only under my nickname and not my whole name in moneybookers so i cant really withdraw yet my money to my bank account without changing my name first in moneybookers.. i came home and i see a lot of people inside our house! well, not actually a lot, but my brother and his wife and his adopted kid are going to spend the weekend with us and i dont want that. i dont like having a lot people in our house.
and to think that i give up a little travel to one of my former officemates place to join in their festival just to get things done. just great..
sometimes i just think that im unlucky. or maybe its all in the head?? ^__^;;

Yes, I sometimes think that sort of thing but I only for a short period of time and then I busy myself in the hustle bustle of life. Its for a short time that I feel lonely and disappointed with my luck but next days new ideas and ways again give me a glimer of hope and then I try to find my way in the light of previous mistakes.

i know what you mean. it all takes waking up on the RIGHT side of the bed the next day and realizing that there's more nice things than bad things. and then new ideas, and thoughts would come to you that will make you forget the bad things that's been happening. ^__^

It's true that sometimes it seems that all that could have went wrong is happening. At times like that I think I have the worst luck in the world.
But there are times when everything seems to go right so I don't think luck has anything to do with it.
Things work the way we make them work - good or bad.

A sort of chain reaction, or maybe just a plain series of unfortunate happenings?=) Don't worry about this, because it happens to almost all of us at a certain time in our lives!;)
If you just read or watched "The Secret," there you'll understand that things happens when you least expect it. It somehow reflects your way of thinking, so even if you don't expect things to happen but you somehow had the thought of it in your sub-conscious mind, then you'll most likely end up to catastrophe. Just try not to worry about it, forget about it and try to think of positive things to help you live a pleasant life!;)

There is a saying that it never rains but pours. I used to have this kind of bad luck which was not what I expected. It really makes you down when this happens. So from what has happened you, I hope that you will be more careful next time not to make such a mistake again by using your nickname. Good luck to you, secret bear.

I don't see myself as the starting point (propagating to a large scale) for an little disaster... like burning my home, or getting on an hospital with breaking bones and head contusions... but me, well we... all have our share of bad luck... and the same amount of luck;)
to bad that in general people see only the bad stuff

How could you think its all bad luck?! Me i am full of good luck and good things. I think you have to do a personal examination on your self, i dont mean to be harsh, but check if you are full of self centeredness, i.e if you always want things to go your own way, but whereas you need to learn some on or two things from ythe situation that come your way so you could lead someone out there aright if they find themselve in the same situation because yoy have been there before. So look at the bright side of all situation and cheich your life. Love you.

i do feel sometimes that i want things to go my way. and i'll be annoyed when it doesnt happen. ^__^;; however, im not always like that. i actually dont mind whatever is happening or whatever has happened. i just wanna do my thing. ^__^

well we have a saying that when it rains it pours. it happens sometimes when you wake up at the wrong side of the bed. it will start on bad hair day, nothing to wear, mood swings and a lot more. it happened to me every once in a while but all i do is pray.... it does help.

yes, i will think that i'm not a lucky girl when i ran across some difficulties. but i believe i will overcome all difficulties happened in my life.
my mom believe in superstition, then she asked someone to test my fortune, then the person said i'm a bad lucky girl. once i do something, then i must meet a big difficulty at the end. it is true. once i expect a good result, then i must meet a big difficult at the end. but i think it shows that i havent' make enough preparation, and i need to work hard too.
i dont' believe fortune or bad luck, i believe myself.

i dont believe in fortune tellers. you shouldnt too. there's no one who can predict the future. and besides, i think its just coincidence, that a bad thing will happen after a good thing. i always experience that kind of thing. i think its just a way to balance life. ^__^

well sometimes things don't go the way we planned or how we want it to be. There are times when I do feel that I'm so unlucky and mishaps keep happening to me, one after another until I feel that the weight is too much for me to carry. When that happens i'll be very depressed! to some extent i do agree to the statement that it's all in the head though. well, just gotta keep your faith, be positive and be strong! take care! :)

Yes, I do. If there's a 1% chance, that something bad will happen to me, and a 99% chance, that something good will happen to me, then you can almost bet, that it's going to be something bad. You know how bad, your chances at winning the lottery is? Well, here's how bad, mine are. I have played the same numbers every drawing, and 3 different games, for 16 or more years, and I still haven't won, hardly anything. The biggest money that I won, was 500.00, twice. In the past 10 years, I have only won a dollar, here and there. I wake up with new aches and pains, almost every day, plus the old ones. I have been married for almost 33 years, unhappily, and I feel like I'm gaining a pound or 2 a week. I am forever having to buy new appliances, and something is always breaking down. Boo Hoo, sorry I'm such a whiner.

oh brendie! i never had any idea how bad some things are going on with your life. you seem such a nice person and i wish i was always there for you to make you laugh. ^__^ when my bestfriend has problems, i try my best to make her think of other things, happy things, instead of her problems, and just make her smile. i wish i could do that to you. ^__^
anyway, i think i'll just give you the common advice given to me here, just think of the good things you have in life. i know you have a lot like your sons. ^__^ and drop all those thoughts about your lottery numbers and those aches and pains and whatever is breaking down in your house. focus on the nice things, like your cats! ^__^ and myLot and the people here. and hey, we all gain weight here and there. we just have to make sure that we also lose it after some time. LOL its just a matter of how you look at things brendie.
and dont be sorry that you whine, i whine a lot too. ^__^;; but its just because we want to let it out for a while. after whining, we realize that its not really that bad. there's still hope for everything. everything will be alright in the end. ^__^

I experienced it already a lot of times. It is really annoying and irritating. But later on, i realized that I was not really a jinx of some sort. But things hapen with a purpose. So if bad luck or bad things happened to me in succession I took it as something as an eye opener. That I need to learn something from it.

No I do not agree. I look around and see whom I am connected with - people around you and involved in your life can distract you from what you are doing and accidents can happen. It really is just that simple. Make your friends and associates ones uplift you inspire and are positive - you will be just fine.

Maybe you should ask me this question. I had a string of bad lucks recently ( I started few discussions about it here) It started with my baby got a chicken pox right before his first birthday. Then followed by an accident where I hit a four wheel drive and my car had a bad damage. A day after, a rear window of my second car being smashed and they took off my 2 weeks old, brand new Sony CD player and that same car just came back from workshop as one of the tires got punctured. I was late for office for three consecutive days due to those problems. My close office colleague decided to quit and leave the company and I felt really bad and lonely after knowing her decision. My husband who is supposed to come back end of August, has no choice but to postpone his flight a few time and the latest decision is that he will only be able to get a flight on first week of Oct. And for your info, we have been living separately for the past 9 months. Right now, I just hope that it will be no more bad luck for me....I am praying hard right now!

I actually never thought of that, tho i sometimes think that no matter what i do i seem to be doing nothing right. I just put it down to the day i got my lucky star it was bought on sale, lol.

yeah i know.. im luckier than the homeless children i see in the streets, the beggars who beg for money to buy food. i feel sorry for them but i feel sorry for myself too sometimes.
