I must say that I am quite inclined to say that I do, even if the rebirth I believe in is not the one you've just characterized, iamdying. Kindly allow me to clarify and elaborate. The rebirth you're essentially talking about seems to pertain to reincarnation or living again after being killed or dying. In a sense, the kind of rebirth you seem to be talking about is one that is basically mythological or supernatural. The kind of rebirth that I believe in, on the other hand, is one that could be likened to rebirth of spirit--renaissance-like, in other words, and not, in any way, mystical or supernatural. If I'm not mistaken, renaissance literally refers to rebirth, and quite appropriately, that's what exactly happened during the renaissance--a rebirth of unlimited creativity, intellectual ingenuity, and unparalleled genius. So, ultimately, you could say that I believe in rebirth, albeit the renaissance-related one.
