Don't you think fast food restaraunts should bake their chicken strips instead of fry? And their french fries, too. I think it'd be much healthier, what do you think?

I think that would defeat the purpose of fast food. The chicken and fries are frozen. To bake them from frozen it would take 20 - 40 minutes depending on what it is you're cooking. Also different cooking temps would cause a need for multiple ovens. The amount of food you could put out in an hour would be limited. Frying takes much less time (3 - 4 minutes).

I think they would be healthier, but would they be as good? My mom goes to the fast food restaurant specifically for the grease that they frie their stuff in.. It helps with the constipation. I don't think even at home that baked fries are as good as fried ones. They would be better for you, and the obesity level may go down, but there is no garauntee(sp).

Baking or even grilling chicken would be a fantastic idea. I really don't like eating take out food and would much prefer a cleaner meal for the body. Unfortunately when you are traveling it can often become the cheapest meal on offer. Think if the take out joints were to opt for baking or grilling there profit margin would suffer, after all time is money. Money makes the world go round.

Well, thats a really good point. I agree. Especially now, since the fast food joints are all on their healthy food kick. Personally, I bake all my chicken and also my fries at home. I never eat fried food or feed it to my child. Obesity runs in my family and I try to safeguard against my daughter becoming obese. Thats a very good idea. Maybe you should fill out some suggestion cards at the local fast food joints.......maybe they will take your suggestions to heart.
