I've been searching the internet like everyone else trying to find legit income from home and came across telecommute and offshoring. Is telecommuting being a customer service rep from home handling calls? What is offshoring - the same thing? Is is the same thing as a virtual assistant? Of course, every time I put in a google search, a 100 scams come up so I can't find valid information on this type of job. Thanks.

Hi njrealestategirl You are taking customer service calls from home with these companies. It is a great source of income. A legit place to go to and apply directly with companies looking to hiring people for customer service, customer support, administration work, etc is www.sohojobs.org I have been taking calls for PBS Stations and St Jude Childrens Hospital for almost a year now and I do online work for another company. I am able to make an extra $1000 a month from home :o) I would check it out www.sohojobs.org Best to you~ Teri K (id:au8tkat) "Working from home thanks to sohojobs.org"

I had a bad experience with soho. I paid their six month fee. For some reason they said my browser wouldn't accept their address. I followed every tip they gave me to remedy the problem. I wrote them numerous times explaining my situation. Never got any responses. I basically flushed $ down the toilet with them.

I know what you mean. You need to be careful about most of the jobs that come up when looking for work from home options. I have never heard of offshoring before. Maybe a good idea to look this one up.

Telecommuting is usually when a business allows an employee to work at home rather than coming into the actual place of business. I am not sure what "offshoring" is - I will have to do some research on that one. I would love to find a way to work at home.
