Me and my x lived in mt.isa we were only together for 3months and it didnt work half way through this relationship i found out i was pregnant anyway been living in brisbane for last 6 months and he's going to try and take my not yet baby born off me when its born next month.

Do you mean by court order he going to take the baby with him? Its tru that for new born baby most of the case will be give it to the mother eventhough put it on court cause the baby need the mother for this period and in future it will be judge by your ability to take care of him/her.

Does he have grounds to take the child for you? I would not worry. He cannot take the child without going to cort. Right now he has empty threats. You may, just in case, want to contact the local court house to find out if there are any pro bono lawyers or any legal services that they can provide for you if he decides to do this. Most courts will not allow the father to take a child away from its mother unless the father can prove that the mother is unfit.
