Are you planning on doing anything special for the Fall Equinox?

It really depends on my health for me. I really wish I could plan ahead and be sure I would be able to follow through with something, but since I can't I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Most likely I'll just spend time with my son and try to get outside some. Since it's a harvest festival, I might even do a bit of cooking. I always do a small ritual for such events, but it's usually something I do by myself these days, since I never quite know if I'll be able to commit to something or not.

I told my friend that since I will be working that day some, my accident took a lot out of me, I probably won't make it to the pot luck, but will try to take a nap and then go to the drumming and dessert. Not sure when I'll make my dessert to share. Not sure if I'll make pumpkin cookies, equinox cookies (cookies with 1/2 white or sunshine frosting and 1/2 chocolate or black-of-night icing), or what. But those 2 come to mind. Apple mint bread would be really cool because I can harvest the apple and the mint, just found the recipe in a book a couple days ago.
3 Sisters Soup comes to mind if I could make it to the pot luck, but don't have 2 of the Sisters (Corn, Beans, and squah/pumpkin).
Happy early birthday! SMILE A birthday harvest is different!

Prior to my arthritis, Spring and Fall were my favorite times of the year. In some ways, they still are, just "Ouch!"
Halloween is fun. Since we moved here, we don't have any trick or treaters. Where we were before, we did. So now we go to the Mall or somewhere to watch them. Take care

Oh, I want to go to your place for Halloween! Pumpkin bread, I just love it, and home made soup. There is a woman who is 71 years old and I go to her house once a week for soup.
My Mom had over 100 kids when I was young. As a teen, I helped make popcorn balls one year. Other times,I helped stuff the little decorated bags with candy.
Phil (hubby) and I eat our favorite candies. Reeeses cups and caramel. Yes, the bad guys ruin everything for the rest of us. We need to somehow find a way to take back the world.

When we moved here, and for over twenty years, we had usually between 70 and 80 trick-or-treaters... I would decorate the gates, porch and yard, and myself!! But recently we have none at all... what a shame that its too dangerous to enjoy this most splendid holiday!! We have the family over for homemade soup and biscuits, and eat pumpkin bread and candy corn ourselves!

We have never really done anything special for this. Doubt we ever will.

Equinox is equal hours of day to equal hours of night. Official fall, harvest, start of a new season, the fact that I'm still here and many of my friends aren't. Every day someone in the world celebrates something. Changing of seasons and harvest time are a lot to celebrate to me. Take care
