What is your favorite type of dog and why?

Everyone has their own favorite type of dog and since this is under the dog topic's what is YOUR favorite type of dog? Mine personally is my blue heeler rotweiler i have named Maner. He is my big guy and he is the best dog i have ever had. I love rotties and they are so cute and i think that they are so over feared when it comes to people being afraid of them. If trained right they can be very friendly and perfect pets. Below is a picture of my dog Maner he is so cute isnt he lol.

I have several dogs that I really like. My favorite is chihuahua's b/c I think they are so dainty and protective. They are also very possessive (sp?). I also like the wrinkle pups and Malamute Huskies (the kind in the movie Snow Dogs).

lots of responses on chihuahua's they are cute. my grandmother has one he is really old yelps a lot but still cute. he is brown and runs around a lot still which is good and was taken from a garage where they used to throw wrenches at him which i thought was very mean. well at least he is in a better place now.

tell me about it when i heard about how he was gotten i was told he was covered in grease and everything and used to get all kinds of wrenches and things thrown at him. i thought to myself i would have thrown them right back at them once i found out about it. he would be shaking in the corner shivering and cowering down trying to hide from them. they used to keep him out where they used to repair cars and such where all the noisy stuff was and everything and thats why he is always scared of the smallest noise now.

aw thanks never seen a pic of a german rottie care to post one that you may have? if not ill look one up lol. and yes its all in how you raise one mine is so loveable he is just a big loving dog all the time would never hurt a fly.

I have had dogs all my life. From mutts, to Rotties, Huskies, Mallamutes, you name it. Except little dogs. I have never been a little dog person. My two favorite dogs I have owned, one was a mutt. She was hands down the BEST dog I ever had. She could even say "I love you" it was cute. But now I have a golden retriever named Maddy and she is super smart and really good. She is my other favorite. I will put her picture up so you can see how cute she is..lol. By the way, your dog is adorable. I love Rotties. I used to have two, but my dad kept them.

I have had a few dogs in my lifetime, and I have to say that my absolute favorite are the boxers! I currently have two boxers, and they are just really great family pets. They are great with kids, lovable, loyal, and just all around great animals!!

I love all dogs. My favorite though is a Weimaraner. They are such cool dogs. I love the color of there coat and eyes. If I could have more animals I would have one. Maybe someday!

I like miniature daschunds. I like that they have a narrow snout and cute big eyes with floppy ears. They are so small and look so cute!

I love most dogs. I have 3 my favorite of the three is brittany spaniel she a huge bunldle of unconditional love

we do not currently have one yet but-- we LOVE pugs!! we love how they sound poor things :( abd hwo they wiggle with thier cute curly q tail :) XX were waiting after our renovations to get one - they have respitory problems without adding the dust and such being kicked up at that time but once were finshed i have a friend that breeds then!! all ligit and papers shots and all :)X

Border Collies and Border Collie x with just about anything else.
I confronted a dreadful woman once who didn't like Collies and I won hands down, you might have heard of her, her name was Barbra Woodhouse, and she was famous for dog training, really nasty piece of work as her training was based on making your dog afraid of you! Her most famous saying to any dog was 'Sit' said in a way that would make anyone cringe!

My fave dog is a chihuahua! Ive had dogs all my life, mostly big ones like Golden Retrievers. I love all dogs, but chihuahua is my favorite. I like that they are so small and easy to bring with you if you travel. Dont get me wrong, a chihuahua is a dog, and a dog needs to walk, not sit in a bag!! (Paris Hilton, a dog is not an accessory...)Other than that I like that they have a bit of a temper, and the fact that they arent exactly cute to look at makes them even cuter! just my opinion

My favorite type of dog is a Siberian Husky. But unfortunately, I do not have this type of dog because it is to expensive. But I like this type of dogs because of their color and fur, they look like more of a wolf which makes them more cool and unique. Their blue eyes and sometimes green would make them a little more dashing.
