the way you train?

I am now down to getting the last 180k(ish) to my strength level in runescape (i am lvl 97 and only plan to train to 98), i will most likely get that bit of exp killing slayer tasks as i feel i get more exp for my time that way (i get my normal str exp, hp exp AND my slayer exp at the same time).
when i am done i will then move on to getting my defense to 98, then attack... then it will be onto mage and range (ugh) plus my prayer as i go along.
for most of this i will use slayer for the reason above (plus i am still going for 90 slayer, currently 86).
how do you guys train your combat skills, do you do slayer tasks like me to gain the extra exp for you time, or do you do it another way?

i am currently playing on f2p because of my tough studies and i cant play runescape that much and not planning to become a member before vacations (thats in december). so right now i m training my range (level 62 only) on lesser and greater demons. there is not much u can do to train your combat on f2p besides killing lessers.
and on p2p, i also prefer doing slayer tasks cause sometimes its a bit challenging (and therefore fun) and it not only helps to up your strength/attack/defense/prayer but also your slayer level and along that you get alot of loots and some rare drops from the monsters. other than that, i kill blue dragons especially to get the blue dragon hide (for crafting) and it also helps me level up my combat.

i agree that there aren't really many options in f2p to train any skill, but i guess that's the way jagex like it as more people will want to join members because of it!
i generally don't go to the blue dragons unless i get them as a task, they are good to train on but i end up having to bank quite often as i kill them fairly fast.

i first started killing blue dragons when i got them for my slayer task. but it took me quite some time to kill them because back then my combat level was in the 70s (or maybe in the 60s). now i am level 86 so they will be easy for me now.
and i trained my magic by doing pest control (by spending the points/tickets to gain magic exp) but iv heard they modified it now :( too bad. raising magic is expensive and i m no good at making/saving money.

yes, pest control has changed it's point system, but as you can use the intermediate boat (lvl 70+) you will gain exactly the same ammount of exp per game as you would have done in the old pc.
it has only changed for those in the easy and advanced boats (lvl 40+ get less exp per game by alot, and 100+ get more exp per point than before by a small ammount).

i don't know about that too much lol, there are 23 skills, and you are beating me in 11 of them lol, but yes, combat wise i beat you in all except range (and i very rarely range unless i want to help out my prayer with ourg bones).
i tend to go through spats of training everything but my combat, where i train all skills for a week or 2, this is because i like to at least make it look like i do more than fight lol.
