Today I visited with my son and we had a lovely time. This has made me ponder on families and the kind of relationships we have with them. It has been said that you can choose your friends but not your family. What does family mean to you? Do you wish you could have had a different family?

Hi there, if i am given a chance to choose a family, i will choose my family still. I do love my family and they are very important for me. My family is my everything, my life, the reason why i am striving more in my life and i am willing to die for them just to see them happy, i am also happy even i am hurting. Have a nice day ahead from Kiko and happy posting and earning here in MyLot and Godspeed!

Yeah they does, that's why i love them so much. And we're really close with each other, with our parents and siblings. We all have great bond and really open with each other. Godspeed!

I am extremely fortunate. We have 3 grown daughters and now 2 grandchildren. We get along wonderful. My opinion, it's extremely important to have a good relationship with our kids. Although I may not totally agree with their choice of men, it's best to go with the flow. I simply keep in mind their men may not be my choice but then I am not dating those fellows! Always told our girls I expected two things from them: be educated and happy.

Great comment carolbee. If we bring them up with lots of love and lol, we teach them how to be happy. We can't choose their lives but if we are good role models they pretty much come around to choosing our beliefs I reckon Glenniah

My family is very weird, and I like it that way. We don't always get along and there is always some differences of opinion and strife, but in the end, if anyone is in trouble, the family pulls together. I guess that unless your family is abusive or other extreme circumstances like that, you are better off with the devil you know than the devil you don't, for every family has its troubles and woes, its good guys and bad guys. In the end, most families stick together.

I like the saying, 'families are like chocolates, some are soft and some are nuts. I agree, when families stick together when it counts is all that matters.

Hi Zwl, I added a comment here but it seems not to have appeared. Ah well that's (internet) life i spose. Money and power can fade away but not our family. they are the ones whoo know us the best and accept us with unconditional love. Thanks for your comment, your family is fortunate Glenniah
