Hello! On television today in the UK there was a debate about whether there is any sin that is unforgivable. Religion teaches us to forgive/turn the other cheek but there are many people that just can't forgive certain crimes/sins. Are there any sins that are unforgivabe?

I believe that the only unforgivable sin is being unrepentant. If the person is not sorry for whatever crime s/he committed, s/he doesn't deserve to be forgiven. How can you forgive someone who does not even seek for forgiveness? We understand that people commit mistakes because we are just human but we have to learn to be sorry for the wrong we have done. Otherwise, we don't deserve to be forgiven.

good comment -- if you dont seek for forgiveness for the crime you commited you are not forgiven-- so we should always seek forgiveness in front of god.

Sin was invented by the Christian Church. The idea was to Scare people into being Christians,(and it worked)THis has been going on now for about 1500 years, but people are beginning to catch on and Christianity is slowly fading away. The abuse of children by Church leaders should be food for thought. God has given us Free Choice. This means that we are free to persue our lives as we see fit. Of course in a Society we must abide by the Law of the land.
God has no Laws as such. Its suggested that we live by the Golden Rule, which says,"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." God is Love! We are All One!
