What a lovely film. Funny and sad both. It is quite old now, Julia Roberts is one of my favourites actress's, ahe was great in this film don't you think? My mum liked this film so much she called my sister Shelby.

I just found this movie on sale the other day and had to buy it. I love this movie. For me it is one of those that you can watch again and again. I love the all star cast and I think it is just one of those all time feel good movies! I still cry every time I watch it too. :)

What a fab find, I still have it on VHS, I am yet to come across it on DVD. Though I will be quick to grab it when I do. You can watch it again and again and continue to laugh at the funny and cry at the sad, you never get tired of watching this film. Thank you x x

I love this film! Actually when I first watched it I cried. I love how she took risk just to feel the essence of a woman though' her life itself is at risk. From that day on.. I started loving Julia.

I am an avid Julia Roberts fan, she has the ability to pull of any role she takes on. I do agree that this film shows the essence of a woman. It is very sad but inspiring also. Thank you x x

Are you talking about Steel Magnolias? I liked the movie, to. I also like Julia Roberts and many others in the cast. It is a rare movie in that it is completely about women.

You are right in that there are not many films made mostly about women, I never thought of that before.

Old or not it was a good movie regardless. And actually its hard to find decent movies like that nowadays. Even after all these years, and no matter how many times I watch it, that movie can still bring me to tears
