my mum's just phoned me up while I was listening to Green Day, heard the music & asked who it was. Her reponce- What's Green Day? lol The funniest was probably either when she saw my bag and asked What's a Chumbawamba? or when we were talking about Jimi Hendrix -wasn't he a drug dealer? (she spent the 60's in Canada) oh and I had to convince my gran once (after tv coverage re Ozzy appearing at the Queen's jubilee concert) that no Black Sabbeth weren't an gospel choir.

My mother listens to Ozzy... She loves Godsmack and more. So I don't think I'll ever have this problem. Although I must say Chumbawamba are freaking great!

My dad loves green day. My parents are actually both quite in tune with music of the now and then. My parents have always been pretty "hip" in that sort of sense. it's a nice thing to have hip parents.

My parents long ago gave up on trying to understand my music. When my friends and I stayed at my mom's house the night before we went to Ozzfest last year, my uncle teased us a little about Ozzy Osbourne, but my mom had no idea of who he even was, really. :) Some people have the luck of parents who like decent music, but most of us are really living in a whole different world, musically, from our parents. :)
