R.D. Burman - Panchamda...the Boss of Indian Music
Completely agree with you on all you said about R.D. Burman. But I must say you have your facts wrong. The music directors of Don were Lakshmikant Pyarelal, and not R.D. Burman. That blemish apart, all you said about Panchamda holds good. His versatility was amazing. What he did with the technology of that era is hard to match (leave alone beat) to this day. His compositions, arrangements and flow were near perfection. He is well and truly the Boss of Indian music

I have seen Bhoot Bangla in which he played a largish role. Not aware of any other films where he made more than an appearance perhaps. Let me know if you are aware of any films other he acted in. And not to mention...he sang. In his own distinctive way, he had a unique voice too.

R D BURMAN was certainly a music legend.his music was way ahead of his generation.and the best part is that his music was just as indian as it was western.he brought many talents to the industry and made many contributions to the indian cinema. without doubt a legend of music ever. what is ur fav song?

he is the difference between the great and the greatest..i like it wen you talkabout him wifd present tense..he is still alive..he cant die..he will love as long as music is alive
