Do you ever wonder where your life is going ,when its always been bad?

OK OK this is a poor me story , but i need some help or advice. As i look back at the last 37 years of my life i cant help but wonder why i have been plagued by sadness and hurt. I seem to have a lot more sadness and pain than anything else. I dont know how or where to start to try to change what has been. I am away from all of that now but the pain is still there. I wish that i had grown up in a stable loving family and that i could have provided the same for my kids .
How do you raise your selfesteem when youve had such a hard time ? I was told that i have self esteem issues because of no relationship with my dad, Ok so now what ? I am not likely to have a relationship with him, so what do i do where do i start to fix the damage. Any ideas or advice or websites that could help would be much appreciated

Yes there are days when i wake up and wonder what i am doing here,sometimes nothing seems to hold meaning.You are not alone.Now cheer up.As a humanbeing we are imperfect.Expect and accept mistakes,errors and shortcomings.Do not allow anything to errode your self esteem.Every problematic situation has a lesson in it for you.You need to learn the lesson and move ahead.However make a note that all doors are never closed for anybody,when one door closes another door opens.And always remember that no problem is greater than the strength of your mind.Everytime a problem crops up remind yourself that in the end YOU will prevail.One should be able to distinguish between what can be changed and what cannot.And this will bring harmony.Dont waste time and energy worrying about the past or fretting about the future.Just live in the present moment.We have only one life- this one.Lets make the best of our time by living positively,enjoying ourselves and doing the things which help to make each day meaningful.count your blessings everyday and appreciate it.I hope this will help to ease your feelings.Have a good day.I am sure you will feel better.
