Children's writing?

I would like to write children's books in Spanish... to help English-speaking kids to learn the Spanish language. What about you? What are you working on?

It's just a picture book. The story is about two friends. I am wondering if I need to have a special angle to sell it in today's market. I haven't tried going through an agent before.

i am hoping to work on some non fiction stuff for kids at some point. i have already published quite a bit of non fic for adults, but would like to try my hand at kids writing. do you have anything published.

I do have some children's poetry published, but I'm currently working on a picture book. Now that my youngest is in school, I need something to occupy my time!
