dont mean to be gross,does your pee sometimes smells like the food you've eaten?

heya ;) I don't even know what a camote is! lol but yes i have had this happen, almost everytime i drink coffee.. that is not very nutritious so i dont think it matters that i pee out all of that! lol. only thing good in there is the milk i use to make it not as bitter! I have heard though that some people when they eat asperagus, it makes their pee really stinky!! like REALLY stinky!! I wonder if its the same reasons!! Methanethiol is composed mostly of sulfur with a splash of hydrogen, plus some carbon, a brew famous for its effect in rotten eggs, cabbages and paper mills. Convincing, no? Merck also notes the asparagus connection and, most intriguing, warns that methanethiol may be a narcotic in high concentrations.

I've notived this with my son's diapers. LMAO He eats alot of Cherrios and his pee i swear smells like cherrios. I can not eat Cherrios any more becuase the remind of his diapers. Gross.

Hi friend, during the fruit season, it’s time for us to be aware of the wonderful smell of the pee from the person who has taken lots of durian. Besides, the smell of my urine and the breath do have the smell of the durian I have taken.

At times when i don't consume enough amount of water, my pee smells like food. Most of the time, my pee is odourless.

I have not experience that scenario secretbear, probably because I drink a lot of water everyday. In fact, when I pee, its almost always clear. Just my first pee in the morning could I find somewhat yellow but the rest of the day, its clear. It really advantageous to drink plenty of water, it good for health and in fact some studies have shown that drinking plenty of water everyday, lessens the possibility of having kidney stone.

I never noticed my urine to smell like any type of food or drink I consumed. It smells like urine to me.

I know what you mean. The worst time for me was when I was pregnant and my pee smelled like the prenatal vitamins I was taking. It would make me almost sick. I had to learn to pee quick and not breath while I was doing it.

Yea.. Some times when i eat too much of onions and garlic, or when i am under medication, i notice that when i pee.. it smells like the smell of garlic or onion or the tablets that i have taken.

i do have the same experienced! :) whatever i ate it smells on my pee hahahaha... well maybe because i am not a water drinker... and if i do just a little of it not even half of glass..

Yes, it is true that when you eat something the smell of your pee is the same as what youve eaten. We have one fruit here,jackfruit, when you eat even a small amount, your pee will surely smell jackfruit. Meaning all things that we ate even liquid or solid goes than our body fast.

everything you take in your pee will smell like that. like a medicine an antibiotic would smell when you pee. camote or sweet potato is my favorite, but it makes me fart as well.

I experienced that my pee smells lke the medicine I took. It is really irritating. But it is normal especially if you are under medication. Smells like the food I've eaten? I haven't experience that yet.

it will smell.. especially if you just had coffee or antibiotic. it will even changed to very strong yellow if you had iron supplement

I never had that problem. Mind you, I do not smell my pee, but I notice if I do not drink enough water that my urine is quite yellow.

Yes, it does. When I eat asparagus, my pee smells much different, it stinks! No matter how much water you drink it still stinks! So, yes, I think that foods you eat do change the way your bodys fluids smell.

Hello! Okay that secretbear is one of the many things that i've never noticed..LOL!! I dunno, but my pee doesn't smell like the food i've eaten, it does smell like a pee, normal smell obviously *wehehe*. Well I guess it's because I drink a lot of water, I always have a glass of water on my table within my reach and I pee a lot too! *hihihi* hmmm...it sounds interesting though, maybe one day i'll experiment on that, not drink a lot of water and eat something strong, then i'll smell my pee after..what do you think eh? *hihihihi* but this one is i'm pretty sure about, my fart do smell like the food i've eaten...especially the chicken masala or curry! Well I am a woman and myself, I can't say that I have ever smelt what I eat or dirnk in it. time I can smell it is when I am unwell and it smells strong. Men are slightly different though I believe as when you wee it is nearer to yuor nose, don't you think? Denise
