mothers i call mama.i love my mom.was uyr mom mean?i know mine was.we had the meanest mother in the whole world.while other kids had candy for breakfast,we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast.when others had a pepsi and a twinkie for lunch,we had to eat sandwiches.and u can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was different from what other kids had ,too.mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times.you think we were convict in a prison.she had to know who our friends were, and what we were doing with them.
she insisted that if we said we would be gone for an hour ,we would be gone for an hour or less.
we were ashamed to admit it,but she had the nerve to break the child labor laws by making us work.we had to wash the dishes, make the beds, learn to cook, vacuum the floor,do laundry, and short of cruel jobs.i think she would lie awake at night thinking of more things for us.
we are doing our best to be parents just like mom was.thats must be whats wrong with the world today.
it just doesnt have enough mean mothers anymore.....i love my mother very muchhhhh

Hi there. I think your nuts to call your mother mean, in my opinion you should be bloody greatful you had a mother that cared enough to even feed you a hearty breakfast and not candy to rot your teeth, as well as teaching you how to aquire simple skills through doing home chores, wash the dishes, make the beds, learn to cook, vacuum the floor,do laundry... I think that was really awsome of her for taking the time to do that, its way better then a mother who never takes interest in her children at all, and one that doesnt give stuff about what their child eats... This is my view to your post... Overall the madness, smile and have a great day...

The mean mom part was tongue in cheek, from the way I read the post. Meaning that more moms should be like that now. The poster was saying that they loved their mom for being the way she was and teaching her those things growing up and moms don't seem to be made that way anymore, and maybe they should be. :)

we won't understand the meaning of mothers until we are to be mothers in future. No matter how much we said we can't feel out the mother's feeling and know this position deeply. If you want to know the meaning of mothers,to be mother.
It seems that i have out of the subject.

I do believe that your right. This world would be a lot better place if there were a lot more mean mothers like yours. A lot of kids would not have to move back home because they can't makeit on their own. There would be a lot less crime too because Mean moms would have those kids in the gangs at home doing home work, Washing dishes and eating decent meals. I applaud all the mean moms of the world were ever they are. If your a mean mom stand up and be reconized. Hurrah for you.

Was my mom mean. Yep, about as mean as yours. We had chores. On days we were out of school I wasn't out hanging with my friends because I had to stay home and babysit my younger brother and sister and help out around the house. I had to learn how to cook so I could help out making dinner at night. We knew better than to talk back or beg for something at the store because we knew the punishment ahead of time, and we knew she wouldn't hesitate to do it. She didn't just threaten it, she did it. I think I spent half my young life grounded for this or that. At the time I hated it and thought it wasn't fair, but looking back now, as an adult and mother myself, I would have done the same. Heck, I'm almost 35 years old and still wouldn't dare talk back to my mother. lol

To me ,mother is a word that counts much.
In my family, there's only mum ,my little brother and I.
Life is never that easy but mum stands behind us.
When I feel disappointed, the one gives me encouragement is mum, when I was ill,the one worried most is mum.
But when she got any difficulties she just wants to hide them .
I can't clearly what a mother is ,but she really deserves all the respect all over the world.

Hi, sometimes, the meanest moms are the best moms. Imagine your mom doesn't even want to know where you went... She doesn't even know that you didn't come home last night. Do you think she's your mom then? Imagine she always put junk food in front of you everyday till you grow so fat that no one fancies you... Do you think she's a good mom then?
Always think of the opposite point of view, then you'll feel better. She's not the meanest mom afterall... Haha

Lol, My mom was just as mean and we grew to be responsible adults! My mom was the best teacher in hard work, lol, had to wash the dishes everyday! She even had the nerve to make us study and read daily. I can only hope when I have children I am as mean!

Sounds like our mother's were very similar and I am so thankful that I had such a good upbringing. I feel sorry for children these days that have no idea how to take care of themselves, be respectful, care about the needs of others, take care of their things and eat healthy nutritious foods. I feel sorry for them that they are so weak they have no choice but to bow immediately to peer pressure and rely solely on the most expensive material possessions for enteratainment.
What is the world coming to!?!?! I mean honestly, the children of today and the tommorrows after that aren't going to have much of a world to live in if they continue on the path they are on now.
It is about time the parents started doing the responsible thing and begin teaching their children simple morals and simpler way of life that is not totally reliant on technology and fast paced societal developments for education and relaxation.
