Is thanksgiving dinner a thanksgiving dinner without the turkey? I know some families you may have a ham or two for thanksgiving and not a turkey. You tell me if thanksgiving dinner a thanksgiving dinner without the turkey.

I may not even have a dinner this year cause I can't afford and I have people coming in from out of town. So to me it would not matter What I served this year as long as it is something

I think that you can eat whatever you want for Thanksgiving dinner. It may not be traditional, but I would much rather have steak and shrimp for my Thanksgiving dinner. Mostly, Thanksgiving just seems to be about eating way more than you should and then lounging around for the rest of the day.

I would say that is not so much the turkey that makes Thanksgiving Dinner what it is. I believe that it is being surrounded by family and loved ones. I cannot stand turkey, so we have ham and turkey. I do believe turkey to just a cliche Thanksgiving staple.
