what do you think of this:
when you were 8 yrs old you're mom handed you an ice cream. you thanked her by dripping it all over you lap
when you were 9 yrs old she paid for piano lessons. you thanked her by not even bothering to practice
when you were 10 yrs old she drove you all day from soccer to football to one birthday party to another. you thanked her by jumping out of the car and never looking back
when you were 11 yrs old she took you and you're friends to the cinema. you thanked her by asking to sit in a different row.
when you were 12 yrs old she warned you not to watch certain TV shows. you thanked her by waiting she left the house.
when you were 13 yrs old she suggested a haircut that was becoming. you thanked by telling her she had no taste.
when you were 14 she paid for a month away @ summer camp. you thanked her by forgetting to write a single letter.
when you were 15 she came home from work looking for a hug. you thanked her by having your bedroom door locked.
when you were 16 she taught you how to drive her car. you thanked her by taking it evrychance you could.
when you were 17 she was expecting an important call. you thanked her by being on the phone all night
when you were 18 she cried at your highschool graduation. you thanked her by staying out party until dawn.
when you were 19 she paid for your college tuition drove you to the campus carried you bag. you thanked her by saying good-bye outside the dorm so wouldn't be embarrased infront of your friends.
when you were 25 she helped to pay for your wedding and she cried and told you how deeply she loved you. you thanked her by moving half way across the country.
when you were 50 she feel ill and needed you to take care of her. you thanked her by reading about the burden parents become to their children.
and then one day she quitely died and everything you never did came crushing down like thunder in your heart...
i was crying while reading this... and maybe this will touch you and say u love you're mum......

This was beautiful! It made me want to run hme and hug my mom! I had to settle for a quick phone call just to say I love you! On my home tonight I will stop by and see her if for just a minute! this was so true and the strange thing is Mom never stopped loving not even for a minute! Thank you for sharing!

I think for many this will hold true, but I know there are people out there that have very close and loving relationships with their mothers as adults, and would jump at the chance to return the favor to their parents.
I know that as a child my mother was one of my least favorite people, and I can't say that she comes close to topping the list now. But I also know that when I am needed, I am there. And my mother knows that she can always turn to me. But at the time she is only 56 and of better spirit and health than most 30 yr old women.
I remember a few years ago, my mother had an outpatient surgery. I went to the center with her, stayed all day, then stayed in recovery with her, and was her driver, and ran any errands she needed for 2 weeks afterwards until she was back on her feet. I was the only member of the family that did this.
My mother knows that our relationship isn't the greatest, but she also knows that anytime she needs me that I will do the best I can to help. Now days it is a little bit harder as we live 3 hours apart, but she still knows if I can't help her, I will find the help for her.

It is very touching indeed. I think that we should be nice and kind to our parents and make a call to our parents every now and then to say hi to them when we are working so far away from them. You have reminded me that I should call my parents to say hi to them though I am far away from them. I miss them as always. Thanks for the nice and true facts.
