Unless it's a time or weather thing, I walk if it's up to two miles away. I'll walk up to 5 miles if I need to.
Because of my condition, I have gone as long as a year and a half without driving... I'd much rather walk by choice though. ;~D

Yeah, I could. My husband and I have to share a car right now anyway, so I'm pretty used to getting dropped off and picked up.:) I would actually like to walk more, but I live kinda far from main places I need. I'm all for exercise though!

I don,t have a care so its no bother for me as I either walk everywhere or catch the bus.

I moved to NY about 5 years ago and then it was about 2 years before I got on my feet enough to get a car. and I have not had to walk anywhere since. I would have to say if something happened to my car I would cry. I have just gotten to used to the luxury of driving instead of having to walk.

Hi kitty1234,
I don't think it would really be that big of a deal for me to go a day without my car. Some people don't even have cars and they get along just fine. The main thing I do like about having a car though is incase of emergency! I have a 16 month old, so it's nice to know that I have a way to get somewhere fast if I need to!

I don't have the driving license so I'm obliged to go everywhere on foot or to use public transport. Fortunately in the city where I live public transports are well organized and allow everybody to go everywhere, so rarely I need to use a car (in that case I go with a friend or with my father).
