Ok...I was thinking about this alot lately. When Gaara got knocked out by Deidra...shouldn't Shukaku been released since Gaara was knocked out!? Is it just me...or is something going wrong here? I know that Gaara is going to be brought back to life...but it doesn't really make sense, Shukaku should of been released right? Or, am I'm missing something!?

I was kind of wondering about that too. My only way of justifying it was that Gaara had been working so hard to suppress Shukaku that he managed to almost over-suppress it, to where it couldn't come out. Since they made such a big deal about Gaara's newfound control over Shukaku, that was sort of where I figured they were going with it.
Then again, maybe that's just me trying to cover for the plot hole because I'm too obsessed with the series. =P

Yeah, I'm a little crazy about Naruto. I think it's mostly because it was one of the first anime to really interest me again after I had been bored of anime for a while. That, and it just has way too many neat characters not to be interested in it. I can't think of a single character in the cast that I'm not interested in their story! =)

gaara did try to protect the village and suppress the demon shukaku inside him simply because once he will let the demon possess his body, he will not be able to control himself and he can damage everyone in the village. besides he is already the kazekage in this episode, he ought to protect his people. its just like naruto, jiraiya cant let the demon fox control him because he cant recognized his friends from foes.

well he can control shukaku from being released so that he doesnt cause any harm, he did it for the village, plus he used all of his chakra moving the sand outside of the village, so ya, he still did it for the village.

I'm also thinking that what you are thinking. Maybe he already manage to control Shukaku. So that is why he can become the sand's kage-sama. He is the secret weapon of the sand country and also a deadly weapon for them,because shukaku.
