yup! I have a neighbor named Dave.

It's pretty common. My boyfriend is named Dave.

I think it must be a reasonably common name because I just counted 11 men named Dave that we know and keep in contact with. They are ex-brother-in-law, former neighbour, 5 friends from when we were in the Navy, 2 men went to school with and 2 men I worked with. Strange though I never thought it in terms of how many of our friends had the same name, although some of them do go by nicknames of course. :)
