Well, when I was in college, my hobby is writing poetry and some them are lyrical. I always get inspired with college life. So once, I attempted to put in some music in one of my poems. I'm not very good in playing the guitar but somehow I managed to put some melody, but I think its only good for my own listening. Hehehe! It took me a week to finish the musical accompaniment. Unfortunately, as we moved to our current home, I misplaced the piece and I've already forgotten the tune of song I've written. Nevertheless, I still have the poem with me.
So, if you some music writing experience, please share it with us. What inspired you when you wrote the song? How long did it take you? etc...

well i dont personally write,,but my band members do
and it takes a lot of time,,u have think the rythem,its genre,,the way the whole body will go,,where to put the solos and all,,its difficult,,but once done its tooooooooo good,,and u really enzoy it

Hello michecu,
When I was younger i used to write a poems. It's my hobby before i got married. I remember one time my younger brother ask me to have it and he started to put a melody out it. He's more music lover than I am. :) Honestly i love music but sad to say the music doesn't like me at all. LOL!

I have a guy friend who is so great in playing the guitar. he can even play a song without looking at its chords in a songbook. he'll guess it perfectly and even put some effects. ^__^
well, when we were in highschool, a lot of us always get inspired and do our own creative thing. and mine was in simple poetry. ^__^
one day, we were graduateing then. he asked me to create a poem so that he could put some notes to it and make it as a song. oh boy was I so excited. ^__^;; I immediately started on it the night of the same day and finished it after a few nights because I wanted it to be perfect. LOL so I handed it to him and waited for he song. waited. waited some more. waited again. until we graduated he wasn't able to finish the song. as much as I was excited when I did it, its the same as when I felt disappointed. ^__^;; oh well, that's life. he never made any song anyway. LOL
