How old were your kids when you took them off baby formula?

Both my boys were about 15 months or so when i started to slowely wean them onto cows milk although they were both quite small so thats why i delayed going to cows milk. I think talk to your peditrician and see what they reccomend and then go from there.

My son went to cow's milk when he was around 14 months old or so. That's what his doctor recommended. He was on the next step formula from about 10 months old, because the doctor was hoping it would help him gain some weight (He was above the 90th percentile for height, and right at the 25th for weight). If he hadn't been so thin, we probably would have switched him at 12 months, since that is what the doctor recommends for children who aren't so thin.

My doctor always said at 10 months so that is what I did. Of course with my first I weaned him off formula, giving him 1/2 formula-1/2 milk but with the last 2 as soon as they 10th month came - went straight to milk. Was happy not to have to pay the price of formual any longer!! Then again, with the price of milk these days - I'm not so sure that I'm actually saving anything...LOL!!
