Both my kids were 4 months old when they got their first tooth. My son kept getting them 2 at a time. He had 12 by his first birthday. My daughter got 1 at 4 months 1 at 5 months and has not popped any more yet. It looks like about 4 more are getting ready to pop now though. I thought she was going to cut 1 last week, but it didn't.
So, when were the toothless grins a thing of the past in your home?

My oldest daughter started cutting teeth at 5 months and had a mouth full by the time she was a year old.
On the other hand by littlest one, didnt get a tooth until 1 week before her 1st birthday. then they all started coming through. she's now 18 months and just got 3 new molars!
My friends baby cut 2 teeth at 4 months and didnt get anymore until she was like 14 months.

I think I started very early with my kids. As soon as they already have teeth, I tried to give them a tooth brush, and let them see and look when I did brushing my teeth. they later on copy of what I did, then it become more simple for me to ask them to brush their teeth.
