What makes your marriage a success? What advice would you give others to make their marriage just as strong? I'm not married but when I do marry I want to have a wonderful marriage like my parents, and I am open to all advice on how to have a wonderful marriage

I know it's said all the time, but it is certainly true. Communication. The only time my husband and I argue is when we've lost some communication. It really is the key to a healthy marriage. You can work through anything- as long you talk about it.

I think one of the "keys" to a successful marriage is "mutual respect". Not only respect for the person themselves, but respect for their opinions and feelings. I've been "happily" married for 16 yrs. and everyday look forward to seeing his face. Also, don't forget romance. Whether you have children or not, it is detrimental to a lasting relationship. We still leave little notes for eachother by the coffee pot, or on the computer screen (in word)or just a call on the phone to say "I love You." Never forget the little things.....
