I don't really know much about them. My son wanted to get one as a pet but my girlfriend told me they have a bad odor so we didn't allow him to get one. I have a chocolate lab and I don't think he would like it either.

They really don't "stink" some have an odor but they are 'descented' before then can be sold. Alof of them get stinky from the cedar in their cages. Ours really don't have a musky smell...we bath them in a baking soda shampoo and that helps alot. =)

I've always wanted a ferret and these people were giving them away about two Halloweens ago. My kids told me no because we already had 3 parakeets, 2 cats, and a dog.

They are interesting looking pets, that is for sure. Not sure I would want to personally own one, but I know people who do.

A friend of ours has two of them they are ok but she lets them run all over the house and the dig big holes in the furniture, i also think they smell a bit.

I have 8 ferrets. The most I had at once was 11.. I guess I love them! LOL

I like them :) Not as much as my cats, but I do have one ferret right now. We've had a total of 4 between me and my husband. This one we have now will be our last one though. It's not that they're hard to take care of or anything, we just don't have time anymore to give him the attention he needs. We both work full time and we have a son too. There's just not enough hours in the day anymore!
