I have had cats at home from the time I started walking. And growing up with cats and watching them grow is a pleasure. Each cat is a biological marvel and an example of perfection.
But this doesn't mean i don't like dogs.I like them but then i have never been able to have one.
What do you think your likes are?

I think I prefer dogs to cats. I am afraid of cats, and have been for quite a while now. I had one when I was babysitting practically attack me right after I put the kids down for a nap. It was completely normal until I put them down and then all of a sudden it was like a psycho cat! I am also allergic to cats so that makes me not want to be around them as much as well.

I dunno what prompted the cat to attack you.But often cats are creatures who don't seem to care about what goes on around them;let alone attack people, but they do carefully observe their surroundings. And no cat unless it feels threatened attacks.
May be the cat was just in a bad mood. But I have never had a cat attack me.
But don't let that psycho cat make you prejudiced against the whole lovely specie.

I love both, I couldn't day I loved one more than the other. But right now I have three dogs and no cats. They are different types of creatures. Cats can be entertaining, graceful, and amaze me with their balancing acts! They don't require as much attention as dogs, you can leave them home all day with food, water, and a litter box and they don't care. Dogs are always eager to greet you, even if you've only been out in the yard for five minutes! They are protective, faithful companions.

yeah cats are a lot more independent than dogs are,but they do love you the same.Though they simply refuse to do tricks to amuse you just like your dog loves to,cats are purring love machines.:)

The difference between cats and dogs is in their attitude.A dog sees you as its leader and master, but a cat sees you as its peer, and that explains the lack of obedience and good manners that dogs show.

I love dogs more. they truly are mans best friend. I used to have a great dog growing up. My family didn't have a close relationship, so my dog literally was my best friend and every time I was mad or sad she always cheered me up.
