Do you think animals really talk to each other? Do you think when they make certain sounds they are trying to communicate with you? I remember watching Charlotte's Web several times growing up and I believe animals can talk to one another even if we don't understand it. Maybe that's wishful thinking on my part but I tend to think it's true. I also believe that they do try to communicate with me as much by actions as the sounds they make. What do you think? Thank you for responding! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

yes i believe they can talk in their own by the sounds that they create. and yes i also believe that they do try to communicate with us. just like my cat, whenever i call him and he answers me back and he looks in my eyes whenever i talk to him. i do believe that they also understand what we are trying to say to them.

Yeah, they do talk in their own language and dialects.. Every species on earth has a mode of communication thru which they convey their msgs to others.. Look at birds, they always fly in groups.. If they didn't know how to spk to each other, how come they are all flying together?? Its just the way how u see at them.. Look at them closely, and u wud notice that they too have a language to spk...

We have a talking bird. When I walk into the room, the bird says, "Hello! How are you?" And when I leave, the bird says, "bye-bye!"

I do believe animals have a way of communicating with each other, we just don't understand it. I have a cat who is always meawing and usually what he wants is to either go outside or for us to pet him. He's so spoiled.

I think they do communicate in there own language. Maybe they don't articulate the same way we do, but I do think they communicate.

two birds - two birds on the water
I am not sure but I guess they do. I think that like us, humans, animals understand each other, if not by the sounds they make by certain actions that their same species do.

I believe they can talk in their own way. I think they can express their feelings very well. You have to closely watch them with time to see how they react. I have seen that with my pet dog and found although she can't speak she can express herself very well.

I do not think that animals can talk like humans talk. I do however, think they can communicate with us in other ways. They bark in certain tones if you listen closely. They bark in an excited tone when someone is at the door. The run back and forth to get you to go with them. Even my rabbit jumps up and down telling me he wants a treat. All animals communicate with each other. They do not talk like you and me but they make other sounds that the other animals can understand. I do believe when the animals are smelling each other they are talking in a way. I think it would be great if one day the really could talk like you and me. This way they could tell their owner to stop being cruel to them and stop having dog fights. Boy wouldn't that shock people.

Yes I do believe that animals can communicate with each other as well as communicate with us too. I have 5 dogs of my own, 1 dog I'm sitting, 5 cats of my own, 4 kittens I'm giving away and 2 rabbits that are ours. Sometimes we will hear our big dog barking and I do outside to see what all the fuss is about and I can hear the nearest neighbor's dog down the road barking right after my dog so I do believe they are talking to each other. As for communicating with us my animals communicate with me all the time. they know when it's time to eat and they let me know if they are out of water. Animals are smart and sometimes I believe they are smarter than us humans. They also treat us better than we treat each other in my opinion. I love animals! :)

I think so. I have 2 dogs, one young and one older dog. The young one barks at everything, and the older one doesn't get up for anything. But when another dog walks by, he knows just by the way she barks and he'll get up to check it out. It's really funny.

I beleive animals can talk to each other.I believe if you let them they will communicate with you and if you try you can understand them.My dog knows about 20 words and she knows about all the family by name.I think it is just a matter of you communicating with them, most people just do not pay them no mind.I treat mine like part of the family, and that is how she acts.

I think they can. They not only use their voices but also with body language as well just as we humans do. If one would listen to any animal and hear the tone in their cries one would see there is a difference from one cry to the other so yes I do believe they talk to one another.

Oh, yes, I firmly believe they speak to one another, and that animals can understand the communications of other animals. I think it is we humans who, so addicted to verbal speech, are the dumb ones. It always used to tick my professors off who would say that speech is what differentiates us from the animals. I would ask, "How do we know they do not speak?". They'd say "if they could, they would talk to us." To which I replied, "perhaps they don't talk to us, cause they know we are to dumb to understand." I also think that is why they tend to use body language rather than verbalizations to communicate with us. Listen to two animals together, they seem to understand the noises of each other. Yet, when they make those same noises to us, it is apparent we don't get it, so what choice do they have but to use actions and body language? my dog and the dog down the road 'talk' all the time. I watch him, he barks, then listens for the other dog to respond, then barks again. The sounds change throughout the 'conversation'. It is not simple bark, bark, bark, all the same bark. I am sure they are 'talking'. He tries to bark-talk to me, but he knows i do not understand, so he soon gives up and goes back to actions and body language, yet he still tries, what patience he has with his 'dumb' huuman family. the same holds true for my cats, whose sounds are an obvious laguage between them. I have grown to recognize some of them, but anything beyond the most simple messages I do not uunderstand. I can almost see the 'poor stupid human' look in their eyes soemtimes.

In my view what you are suggesting is not wishful thinking. I have been around animals from my earliest memory. Right now we have 2 large dogs and 5 cats..and they all have unique ways of communicating with each other. Our cats have their unique 'voices' and non-verbal body language that my hubby and see as their form of communication with us and with each other. We often mimic the individual 'cat talk' and they 'answer' with a different sound...it may sound wacky to those who are not cat lovers...but I bet there are others who know what I am talking about. Our dogs also have different barks and whines to let us know what they want and need. So for me...animals do 'talk' do us and each other. Fun topic...thanks Raia

I'm not really sure if they can talk or not like us. But i do belief that they can understand what we said or ask them to do. But that of course only happen by doing a good training with them. I learn this from my own experiences with my little Pomeranian dog. And yesterday, I also saw a program on television about how to teach your dog to behave. It was an interesting program. Amazing that they can chance a wild dog into a sweet one.

i do i believe the talk to each other and in there own way they talk to you. Watching the discovery channel and seeing the behavior of animals just makes me fell so good inside. I was watching something about hippos the other day and it said that hippos use to watch after human children and pregnet woman. I thought that was so cool. Look in there eyes too it tells all.

I believe it.. The animals as well as the humans, can comunicate between them for the sound that they give out, since that can help in their survival.

Man believe me, I once met a dog that told me to buzz off. Now he never used words like we humans do, but I understood fairly well and showed a clean pair of heels. Yep animals can talk!!
