With the new allegations against him, will O.J. finally go to jail where many people believe he belongs? Or can he beat the fragile U.S. justice system once again. Do we have to endure another farcical trial with the arrogant one staring. What are your thoughts?

Do you really think he would have peace in jail? I think there could be many inmates who would give him a hard time for the things they believe him to be guilty of.

I suppose I shouldn't judge, but my gut feeling was always that he was guilty. Most Australians think the same way. We can only hope that justice prevails and that the right verdict is reached. Interesting that one of our states in Australia is considering getting rid of the double jeopardy clause so that defendants may be retried in cases where new evidence comes to light. Also, there is one country in the world (my law student son isn't here so I can't ask) where the jury can return an inconclusive verdict which allows for the defendant to be retried if they find new evidence. This makes far more sense than having to find the defendant not guilty if the evidence isn't quite enough to convict him.

It's a very interesting point you raise. With DNA science advancing at such a rate now, it's possible proof will come to light that might aonvict several aquited felons from the past. However with double jeopardy they will remain free. Being originally from Victoria, and with kids and grandkids in WA, I'd like to know which state is taking the lead here.

Watching news is depressing, so I don't really know why he is in Jail. I hear about on the radio, but I am afraid that he will do it again....buy the best possible lawyers...

I for one hope he gets a jail sentence. I believe he was guilty of murder, as did the jury who convicted him in the civil case. I can't stand his arrogant attitude and hope he does time.

It's a tough call at this point; some say he was only there to get what was rightfully his and others argue that his security people had weapons with them and that violated his probation and or the rules of the facility that the event was being held at. With any luck, if he is found guilty he won't be able to slink out of it on a technicality.

I hope so. He got off scot free for murdering his wife, I guess it was because of the guilt felt about slavery that the assumption was that all black men were innocent. I do hope they realize their error, and that O. J. Simpson pays the extreme penalty. I mean I watched the first trial and it was a farce. Tragically he could not be tried for the same time, and so he was walking around free, even though he was obviously guilty.

I saw a documentary where most africian-Americans thought it was a victory for their race, but also believed OJ was guilty. What goes around comes around - I hope!

I'm with you, and most others. I have a feeling that a jury will put him away.

I always thought he was guilty of butchering his wife and Ron Goldman. I hope he's found guilty of this and goes to prison. No matter what he did before, this is wrong and he needs to pay. Honestly, I don't think another jury will let him off. He doesn't have the charisma, or the legal team, that he had before. He makes me sick.

I totally agree with you, except I believe he thinks he still has the same charisma. Just seeing him here on the news makes me sick, he's so cocky and confident. If it's a fair jury, and not predominately black, he should get substantial time.
