i like mix breed or crossbreed dogs or puppies, because they are so cute too. but i like purebreeds too. but crossbreeds are charming and more affordable, but have the same features as the purebreeds. only few difference, like in the appearance, most mixbreeds looks like the original ones but others are much cuter.lol... i love them, i have one purebreed dog and a mixbreed puppy, she is a mix of pomeranian and a pekingese. and she looks more like a pomeranian... her colors are mostly brown but have some shades of black and yellow or gold. she's so cute and adorable.

hi khithi, I agree with you. I love mixed bred dogs. I have a dog that is two years old and he his a German Shephard/Chow mix and I also have a puppy that is 5 months old that is a black Lab/Rotweiler mix. They are so adorable. Some people have told me that mix breeds like mine tend to be more aggressive than if they were purebred. I disagree with that. My two year old dog has never even growled at anyone, and all my puppy does now is chew on everything. I don't know, even if they turn out to be aggressive to some degree I will still love them. I have three daughters and they love them dogs as much as I do. My oldest daughter dresses the shephard/chow up in some of her old wore out clothes. And the dog absolutely loves it. I hope you have many many years of enjoyment with your animals.

I have a shepherd/chow mix, too, and everyone told me she was going to be mean and aggressive. HA! She is the biggest baby! She is so sweet and gentle, and has never acted aggressively toward people. She is also very shy and will not come around strangers, and doesn't even care to be around the men in the family, except my husband. She usually hides under the bed (don't ask me how she gets under there at her size, but she does) when we have company.

I think it has a lot to do with how they are raised. If they are given with lots of love and affection, discipline, exercise, food, water, shelter, and lots and lots of attention, I don't think they will be aggressive. My two mixed breeds surely aren't. I know how big my shephard/chow is so I think it is funny how yours hides under the bed. My dog is a little different, she loves just about everybody. She has to investigate everyone and she thinks that anyone that comes over is supposed to pay her attention. If they don't, she will nudge them with her nose until they do. I have the two dogs and seven cats so it is always busy at my house. Thanks for the comment.

i agree with you two. mixbreeds are not aggressive, infact. my puppy is very sweet and funny, although she loves to bite on everything, but thats normal for a puppy, right? so u just give her chew toys so she wont bite or chew on our things... thanks for your response you two...

I like all puppies especially the pure breed puppies. I also appreciate those cross breed but it depends on the type of breeds that was crossed because they are some breeds that are not compatible when you cross breed them with other breeds. Their temperament got affected and even their health are compromise.
If for the appearance alone I appreciate cross breed puppies.

I have one mix breed dog and one purebreed. My purbred dog is a Cocker Spaniel. She is lovely and regal and I love her to pieces. My mix brreed dog is a 3/4 Chihuahua and 1/4 yorkie. She is a great puppy and she's gorgeous. I don't have a real preferance between the breeding, however, mix breeds tend to have less wrong with them medically and genetically so that's a big plus. I love all dogs though.

To my understanding Mix breed live longer, and are healther, I have a Chuhuahua mix, she might not be a pure breed, but she was available for adoption, no one wanted her so we adopted her, she still is difficult to train, she is not house broken, which why the owners gave her up, but we felt so sorry for her we took her home. Mis breed cost less but you spend so much money on medical care unless you have the money, it is diffcult to maintain an animal. I don't breed this animal for profit, she has been spayed, some people put animals above babies which to me is sad, the whales in Hawaii get better treatment than humans in Hawaii. This is a sad world, serilize animals not humans.

I like mixed breed puppies. We just got a puppy a few months ago, sh is a mixed dog and is adorable and a pretty well behaved puppy. She is part Lab/Border Collie/?????. We have had purebred dogs and so far this little mixed puupy has been the best behaved.

I prefer mixed breeds, they are usually healthier and have a more even temperament. You never know what they are going to look like when they grow up. I guess I like surprises! I have a dog whose mother was a Chihuahua and I'm not sure what the father was but she is bigger than any chihuahua I have ever seen! She weighs about 32 pounds.

I like dogs but unlike some people I don't view them as a commodity. I have pet animals in my home but these are all RESCUE ANIMALS. Any future animals in my home will also be rescue animals. We have big problems in Ireland with unlicensed and cruel puppy farms. Female dogs have pups twice a year till they drop...there is inbreeding and the resulting pups are rarely healthy or of good temperment. Some of those that buy these dogs have good intentions but others are just idiotic neanderthals who believe that dogs are more similar in nature to cuddly toys than living creatures. These people tire quickly of the dogs and abandon them, neglect them or treat them cruelly or all of the above. So I don't agree with breeding of dogs...or cats for that matter. I hope you treat your animals well and that you make sure they go to good homes.

I have never owned a purebred dog even as a kid. We always had "mutts" and I loved every one of them. I have a Jack Russell Terrier now and the people I got him from said he was purebred but he isn't. He is 11 pounds and seems to have something else in him. Maybe Chihuahua.
I love all dogs but prefer mixed breeds. I just like their temperaments (usually) and the fact that they weren't bred for money.
