I've often wondered why people want to destroy each other when nature can do it so much better.
It is beautiful but can be very dangerous.
What I especially like to see is nature taking over buildings that are in ruins, it's a reminder that whatever man does nature can reclaim it whenever it wants to.

It does scare me sometimes the destructive power of nature, but it never ceases to amaze me. I say this because we didn't get hit by a hurricane in virginia like they said we would. One tropical storm with some bad flooding, but houses are still standing.

The development of technology by the human race has allowed the greater exploitation of natural resources and has helped to alleviate some of the risk from natural hazards. In spite of this progress, however, the fate of human civilization remains closely linked to changes in the enviroment. There exists a highly complex feedback-loop between the use of advanced technology and changes to the environment that are only slowly becoming understood. Manmade threats to nature include pollution, deforestation, and disasters such as oil spills. Humankind has contributed to the extinction of some plants and animals. This makes nature gets angry on us and takes revenge at times, eventhough it is beautiful. We have to accept oblize to nature forever.

I used to live in Tornadoe Alley so I know how destructive it can be. My in-laws live in FL and have to deal with the forces of hurricanes.
Tornadoes are amazing to watch from far away, but I hate seeing the path of destruction it leaves.

Nature is more powerful and destroying than we can guess. It is beyound anybody's expectation.Whatever be the scientific and technological knowledge we can not control the Nature. We may be able to escape from its lashes.

Nature can also be very unforgiving at times, besides the destruction it can cause. We spend a bit of time camping out in the bush but always make sure that we are well prepared in case there is an emergency because we know how unpredictable it can be at times.
