Help needed Plz.....

I have a sony vaio pcg-fr315s which was given to me as my other laptop is broken,the problem is when i turn it on its asking for a password and i dont have it! Is there away to get around this? I have searched online for help but nothing has helped much unless i take off the casing and i'm not sure what i am doing... If not i will send it to sony...

Is it I wouldn't know! But you seem to be an expert.... I don't need to explain myself to you but I will coz I am a mother of 2 and a 3rd due in April and I for one don't like to be label'd as something I'm not... I work along side my parents in a local tip yard ie household waste site here in the Uk... This is how i came across the pc so this is how i came across this you would be suprized in what people throw away belive me! Thanks to all that tried to help i have now a IBM laptop from the same place!!!!! So don't throw accusastions unless you know the truth!!!!!

Well i think you better send it back to sony and tell them your concern, coz they really know what to do with that rather than us here even there's somebody here who have that sony vaio pcg-fr315s. Have you asked the person who gave you the laptop as they probably know the password. The only thing I can think of if you can't is to see if you can get a restore disk and restore it back to it's original settings then maybe you could set your own password.
