Do you sing and dance in your car?

Are you a star in your own mind? Last night I made a New Kids on the Block mix CD. So this morning, driving to work, I popped in the CD and rocked out to it all the way to work. Singing and dancing like nobodies business. I'm sure that when people see me driving along, they look at me like I'm crazy... But why should I care? I'm in my car and I can rock out all I want! Personally I don't see how anyone could listen to NKOTB without rocking out. :p I love to sing and dance in my car and I do the same in friends cars and stuff. I don't care if I'm making a fool of myself in others minds...I like to have fun and...I like to sing and dance! Do you sing and dance in the car? Or on the bus when listening to headphones or anything? Or do you get too embarrassed to do that kind of stuff in the public eye?

LOL! New Kids! WOW that takes me back! Oh yes I preform in the car too. But it's mostly just vocals - though I really get into it! Now if it's a real jump up and down feel good song then I'm all about the dancing too! Like it's probably not the wisest idea for me to listen to "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne because I just can't help from jumping and dancing when I hear that song! If I wasn't in my car (with my invisibility cloak - jk!) I wouldn't perform. But I have a low self esteem especially when it comes to things like that.

Ha ha. NKOTB was my first favorite band, concert and love. Oh Donnie Wahlberg! Ha ha. Now the real question I didn't ask is...are the windows down when you're belting out!? Because that's the BEST. I'm so not embarrassed to be seen rocking out and singing along to some good old Nsync in the car :) I have a soft spot for boy bands. Aww well I'm sorry you can't feel as open to sing and dance outside of the car. but to even have that place to feel comfortable doing it is a great thing!

LOL - It was Joey for me all the way :) I didn't care much for 'NSYNC but I do love Justin Timberlakes music now. I 'preform' outside of the car - just not in front of a bunch of people I don't know. Friends and family get it all the time...without music even LOL. If I have my windows down then sure I still rock out. But I rarely have my windows down. I can't hear the phone if it rings, and I hate the wind blowing my damn hair around. It's so thin and stringy and it just tangles it all to hell LOL.

ha ha. I prefer the windows down to the AC. plus I have a moon roof so I can open that without my hair flying around. Well I'm glad you still perform for friends and family too :) when I look back at NKOTB now, Joey was totally the cutest. I don't think he's as cute now though. Did you know that almost all of them are all married with Kids!? how crazy!

I act a total fool most of the time! I'm far from being shy when I want to have fun. Life's too short not to bust out and act crazy every now and then, or to worry what people will think. I dance in the car and sing real loud. I don't even give a what what! ha ha. I NEED a NKOTB cd. We've been talking about it so much I'm feeling needy for some New Kids action. ha ha. I can't dance, or sing for that matter, but I love to do both. My thing is recording music videos and learning the dances. I can bust out some booty dances.:P You want me to get up and dance, I'll do it!

Could you imagine if we were riding around in a car together rocking out to NKOTB!? It'd be ridiculous We'd get pulled over and ticked for being TOTALLY AWESOME!! ahahaha. Oh Man, I can't help wanting to just really find a time machine and go back in time to the 1980s. it would be so rad! I can sing, but I usually choose to sing real bad because it's totally more fun that way (hello Lucille Ball!) oh man.. if we were ever in a band you'd have to be the dancer...i'm a total blonde white girl who ain't go no rhythm or skills!

hii raychill, it seems you and i share a common interest.i too sing and dance a lot like crazy,be it in my car or on the road itself.i don't care what others think of me.i don't find it embarrassing in anyway.why should we fear anybody?its our life and it depends on us how to enjoy it.i like singing and dancing and thats my way of expressing my joy. once my fiance gave me a very good news and i started jumping and dancing on the road itself.he was saying "have you gone crazy?whats this?you are behaving like a kid." but who cares at that moment about others.doesn't this happens to you? it not only makes us happy but also to all the people who are near us.by doing such things we can bring smiles on people's face.and not to forget when we share happiness it doubles.so thats my funda.and it seems you follow the same rules too.LOL.

you are definitely true.and you know when people ask you whats the matter and you share it with them, and the way they become happy for you,its very touching.so i just want to share my joy with all by such gestures.

I'm glad you fully embrace the dancing and signing too. I definitely agree with you about enjoying your own life. I definitely do follow the same rules. because if someone is laughing at you, hey at least you made someone smile today. They'll share a story and you'll get to be the person who did that!

This is so not me. I might sing along in the car, but quite unconsciously, and definitely with no star quality. And I couldn't name a single NKOTB song. Maybe that's my problem.

Well you did say that you were a wallflower ;) Aww so you're not a singing star in your mind? Why don't you sing and dance in your car? To anything? New Kids were a very popular band between...eh 1987- 1990 really. If you weren't a teenager or younger I think that you may have been a little beyond the New Kids! you should put on some music in your car sometime, something you love and try singing and dancing. I think it might make you feel good.

I don't generally dance in the car unless it's one of my favorite songs and it gets me going. So maybe only about 5% of the time. But I do sing in the car when I'm alone. Or with my best friend in the car because we act silly together and are comfortable with that.

All I listen to in my car is my favorite music. It gets me through traffic! But that's always fun to dance and be silly with your friends. I had a friend I used to go on road trips with and we bust out in some killer dancing and singing times :)

Ha ha. I'm glad you got over being embarrassed. I think people need to be comfortable in their own skin with everything, even to singing and dancing to music on the radio or even in your head! I think I'd be dangerous if I owned an ipod!

I always have music playing when I am driving and I frequently sing in the car. I love my goth and rock music so I am quite likely to be head banging in the car on occasions, but I don't care what people think, I'm happy.

ha ha. Oh Goth. I say that in a good way. As I totally love some of that too. It's more a part of my past than my present. I love my punk rock these days. But I have a soft spot for boy bands and will totally rock out to Nsync one minute and Marilyn manson the next. it's classic. Especially when I use my crazy mix cd's I make! As long as you still watch the road while you head bang! I'm glad you're a car dancer too!

Hello! I do sing and dance not just in my car but whenever I fancy doing it. I love to sing and dance it's just me, and i'm not shy or embarrass to do it in public. I reckon it's my best talent of all...to sing and to dance *hehehe* as I do receive lots of praises and nice comments about it. I did observe it that whenever i'm singing or dancing and others see me, they all smile at me...I may not know what the hell they're thinking, whether they like what i'm doing or they think i'm crazy or making a fool of myself, I don't care...all I know is I made them smile. You just don't know how you would affect others by just singing and dancing, who knows...one morning someone will wake up in a bad mood and when they see you, they'll smile..and realize life is beautiful. *smile* ciao! c",)

Good deal! I love people like that. I hate when I have friends who get embarrassed of me dancing and stuff. I mean I'm not really a dancer, like I don't go to clubs and dance or anything but when the mood strikes and a good song is on I dance. That's a good thing, that you can make people smile. Whether it's because they think you're a fool or maybe they're just wishing that they could be doing the same thing and that makes them smile because you have the guts to do it! definitely!

ha ha. Lately I've been on a total "re-living my childhood" kick! Seriously 1982 - 1992...great 10 years. 1993 and on, it all went downhill! ha ha. You know, sometimes I'll just randomly start dancing and people think I'm so weird. Cause I won't be listening to music or anything, it's usually cause i have a song in my head. I totally dance at my desk and lip synch along at work too and they always laugh at me! Thanks. I'm glad you're a crazy fun loving dancer too :)

I always sing and dance in the car. I probably look like an idoit but what do I care, I'm in my car. My friends and I once played a game in the car where we tried to get other people in their cars to dance with us a red lights. Most people tried to look away or just smiled, but two cars actaully did it. It was crazy but fun.

Ha ha. exactly! I've had people I work with tell me they saw me dancing like I'm supposed to be embarrassed and I'm like Pshaw whatever. I love my music and if I rock in my car i'm gonna rock! Man that sounds like an awesome game. As long as you didn't come across an undercover cop, ha ha who knows what they might think!

Well, raychill, I only sing and dance in my own car. Never did it in a public transportation, though he he he...simply 'coz I have no headphones...but sometimes when hubby's driving and he puts on good songs, then I'll sing and dance and he'll laugh and shake his head HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA... NKOTB, eh? It was the first cassette that I'd ever bought. I bought it when I was around 11-12 years old...ohhh...so many years ago he he he he he...NKOTB was HUGE back then! ;-D

NKOTB rocked! Well I think it's almost inappropriate to sing and dance on public transport cause it's public and you could be bothering other people. In your own car or husbands car you won't be bothereing anyone but your family! ha ha.

Yes I absolutely do! People sometimes look at me like I'm a freak. But I think it's funny so I keep belting it out. It's best when in traffic because then people are constantly there in view....their reactions are priceless!

We sing/scream a lot in our car. Most of our journeys are over an hour long so singing is necessary. We don't dance but we do bang our heads to rockers like "Falling Up" and "Fall Out Boys." We have video of us making fools of ourselves. Sorry, New Kids on the Block is a little too mellow for us. We don't have rhythm like that. LOL. Have fun!

Fall Out Boy are definitely NOT rockers, but ok. I get the point. New Kids are also NOT mellow...they're a boy band, they weren't meant to be "rockers" and that's the point. I don't like screaming, but rocking out to the car, whether it's to justin timberlake, tim mcgraw or fall out boy is always a good thing!

Hi raychill, Sometimes if a really good song comes on while I'm in the car I will sing along. I do get embarassed easily, but if someone ever saw me singing or dancing in my car I could always say I was doing it to cheer up my daughter lol. PurpleTeddyBear.

I sing all the time and don't even realize that I am until someone brings it up! So if you see me in the car and my mouth is moving a mile a minute that is what I am doing. The only time I have been embarassed about it was a couple of weeks ago at work I was singing a song from my granddaughters Veggie Tales video.....Do you like to talk to tomatoes!!! Okay....shamoooooooo.....shamoooooo....Dang sometimes I get those songs stuck in my head and without realizing it I am sharing those silly songs!

That's pretty good that you do it without even realizing it! Ha ha. I knew a teenager who was obsessed with the Veggie Tales stuff a few years ago, but fortunately I don't have many kids in my life and the few who are they aren't into Veggie Tales. But that's pretty funny. I'd like to drive by someone rockin' out to veggie tales :)

YEah i sing and dance in my car too, but when I am in passenger seat.My man doesn't have problem with that, we are just making fun of that and laugh. But than he start to sing and you feel like you want to get out of car.lol. Last time I went to the farmers market with my friend and on the road was woman about 50 years old , dancing and singing in her car.It was very much of fun to watch her and we even started to dance with her, when we hear the music from her car.
