Please help me find a name for a rescued kitten.......

OOhh I miss having kittens. And I just love yours ;-) As for a name, how about "Kuro" which means Black in Japanese? Cheerio!

Wow, what a cutey that baby is. How about Cuddles? Or Blackie, or how about Midnight?? Perosonally I would go with Cuddles. :) I myself happen to Love and adore all cats, hamsters, birds, and dogs, and In fact have two cat children of my own, Damien who's the Oldest and his little sister who's also very timid and shy, Sugar Angel Sweets. I've already added a few more photo's of them in the Cat photo gallery, so that everyone who should view them, should also come acrossed the photo's of my babies too. I sure wish you and your tiny one lot's of luck, and I still like Cuddles for a name. :D

What a sweet kitty! If he was mine I would call him 'Billy the Kit'! Mind you, if I had any new boy pet I'd call him Billy - dont ask me why - and if I'm ever able to have another Boxer dog - you've guessed it... Billy the Boxer! lol Last year I adopted a gorgeous but mental siamese-type cat from a cat rescue centre - she is beautiful... and such a character. I couldnt think what to call her (my helpful Dad suggested 'Ceefa' - as in c for cat!) but after going through lists of names on the internet I found 'Ziya' it said it meant 'light' and being a spiritual person I thought it was perfect!

Well I was told that cat's name should have an "s" in it so they respond better to it. So going with that rule, I would suggest Smoky, Sammy, and maybe Max, but that's like a dog's name but your kitten might like it since he is being adopted by dogs. Hope this helps

Oh he is gorgeous! I love all cats and kittens - but he truly is adorable. I had an all black male cat once - his name was Chekhov. I guess names to do with the colour black would be a good idea like Midnight, or Star. Sometimes with cats I find it's best to leave it for a while though, and the name kind of comes to you as their personalitities develop. Good luck!

sandgroper1, how about Salem, like the cat of Tabitha the Witch. You can call him Salem because it is magical to be found by a good hearted pet lover like you and also magical to be introduced to dogs without any friction. Salem is also good for cats with nine lives. More power. ferritic

Selfishly, I would name him Spirit, after my much loved and now gone black cat of same color. But how about Moses, who was also found and adopted? Maybe Midnight, Shadow, Nightshade? all those came to mind looking at his pic. Gods he is adorable, I envy you. I can just picture the big dog playing momma lol.

Oh how nice we have 3 cats that are 6 month old and one that is almost 1 month old we had to bottle feed him to he is white with blue eyes. Well, we have had many cats. Some of them were black. We never did name them after anything black. There was Skyler, Rascal, Buddy, Baby, Bubba, Chewie (if you remember Star Wars, how Chewbaca's hair was combed back from the forehead, that was how her hair was), and Squeek. Sometimes we named our cats by their actions...Little Rat (he would grab your feet as you were heading down the stairs), Shadow (she followed me everywhere), Tidy Bowl (she fell in the toilet). Or we named them after famous people, sayings or places...Rasputin (a Russian Blue), Shalom, Houston. Good luck! I know he will love WHATEVER name you give him, as long as you love HIM. :)
