Why do all kids seem to enjoy rpg games more than any other game. Is it because they are usually the most nerdy game? I personally think that games like runescape should be removed from the internet. They offer a free character then they get you hooked on the game so you will become a "member" and pay your hard earned money for something as pointless as a game.

well, i don't get 'hooked' on runescape. I played it like over 4 years and i'm still no member. It's like same as a free account but you got more skills (-_-) and more areas (-_-) still it's same, work hard to earn money to get rich --- to pwn other players.

Maybe kids should be steered away from the online rpg games and actually play a rpg game from home on their computer...like Never Winter Nights or Baulder Gate...These are great games and allow someone to escape to where ever they want to go. Its healthy for the imagination.

These games will never be removed from the internet.
They are no more pointless than paying your hard earned money for cable tv, or a membership at a country club or any number of other things that people do for entertainment.
