Powerball lottery error

I've been playing the powerball lottery for years. I always play a card that has one specific set of numbers and one quick pick on it. Sometimes I will verbally add more quick picks but I always play that one number. Tonight after the drawing I was checking my numbers when I noticed the powerball number on the ticket for my usual set of numbers was not right. So I got the card that is fed into the machine and the number was correct on it. So the powerball machine or printer or computer made an error. They are lucky that my number did not win because I would be getting a lawyer right now. As it is I'm going to try to call them and report it. What do you think I should do? Do you think they should at least give me one free play?

Even though we all do it this is a great example of why we should always check our tickets before we leave the store. That is the time to catch it as that clerk will remember you.
Good luck playing those specific numbers. Are you aware that in order to have a degree of certainty of 99% for a given set of numbers to hit with powerball you would have to play each draw for about 670,000 years, statistically speaking.
Good luck to you.

Well I admit I do also when the jackpot gets high enough.
I have developed some programs that let me compare a set of quick picks to the real drawing numbers over a given period of time...downloaded from the powerball website.
No matter what numbers I pick there are many times in the past I would have won money. The problem is that in spending $20.00 each draw it is rare that I would have gotten anything more than about $7.00 back. Most of the time either nothing or around $3.00.
But I keep playing now and then also. LOL
Good luck to you and keep checking those numbers.
