Cell Phone as Alarm Clock???

I use my cell phone as my alarm clock, so I was wondering tonight if there is anyone else that depends on their cell phone to wake them up when they need to?? Like for work or to get their kids up for school-like me? I don't use a normal alarm clock because when my hubby works at night I sleep on the cough so it is sooo much easier to just keep my phone be me when I fall asleep rather than taking an alarm clock from room to room. What do you use as an alarm??

I also use my mobile phone as my alarm clock to wake me up. I always place it beside my pillow after I set the time and then I turn it off in order not to recieve the radioactivities from the mibile phone, which does harm to our brain. I hope that you also turn it off to protect your brain.

If you turn the phone off will the alarm still go off?? I figure it wouldn't go off if the phone isn't on.

Oh, it really works if I turn it off as I always do. By the way, my cell phone is a Nokia one. I love it very much.

I don't use the alarm on my cell phone, however my husband uses his. He's on the road for his job and between stops, if he has to wait for his next client he'll snooze a little and set the alarm, if it's storming we'll use it as a back up in case the power goes out. He also uses it daily to remind me to take my evening medication. If he's not at home, he calls me when it goes off, he's so sweet and good to me. I've noticed that my older children use there's instead of a regular alarm clock, which doesn't always work, they never hear it, especially when my son puts it near him in bed, it gets muffled by the blankets.

I also use my cellphone as an alarm clock. There's really no need for a normal alarm clock anymore.
Also I'm the type who likes to steal a nap anywhere (even if I'm not at home), so in those instances there's really no choice.
In fact this is one of the basic features that I use my cellphone for: calling, texting, calculator, and alarm. I'm not the type who needs a camera, 3G, play games, or listen to music.

Yes, i do that to. Because it is on dual advantage, you can check the time and the messages also. And we always place our cellphone besides us ( but I am warning you, it could be dangerous if we place our cellphone besides us because of radiation ) to be updated even we are sleeping.

Well, my husband uses my cell phone as his alarm clock. He started using it as an alarm clock because I hate the way our real alarm clock sounds when it alarms. I always get woken up and get irritated by the sound, such drilling sound and he's still sleeping like a baby and not all aware of the alarm the noise it's making. So, we both agreed to use my cell phone as his alarm clock. It's way more subtle.

I use my mobile most of the time. I use the alarm facility in the mobile. Other things I use very frequently is the reminder facility in the mobile, the calender, the recording (used by my son) and much more. It is very handy. I also use the calculator when I need. There are many uses of having a mobile other than communication of course.

I also do the same practise with you.. I use my cell phone as my alarm clock too becaouse i can choose the ring tone for my alarm clock..If I din wake up on the time i set, it will ring against after 5 minutes which more easy to me.
If using the normal alarm, i will think it is very noisy for me and spoil my mood only.

In 1991 I bought a Casio digital clock, since the day I bought this clock I always use the digital clock as alarm. Few months ago I bought a new clock and too I use it as alarm. It never has failed. I don,t use the cell phone as alarm clock because is very noisy.

Good Morning!
I don't use my cell phone for an alarm clock but my daughter does a lot of times. I guess I just like the old fashioned regular alarm clock for getting up in the mornings LOL.
Have a wonderful day!

Yes, I happen to use my cell phone as an alarm clock. i am always afraid that my power will go out and my regular alarm clock will not go off, so I keep my cell phone on as a back up.

I use an alram clock when I'm at home, but if I'm at a friend's house or in a hotel I use my cell phone to wake me up. I don't really trust the alarm clocks in hotels and sometimes your wake up call doesn't get phoned up either. I figure if I'm actually setting an alarm I should get up when it goes off so, in turn, it should be reliable. Hence the cell phone. It hasn't dome me wrong yet.

For humorous yet serious views about using cell phone alarm clock, visit http://www.raynacreations.com/cellphone-alarm-clock.htm.
I would not use cell phone for important schedules, and still prefer a real alarm clock.
