I am looking into doing this as a I feel it will be most effective for my dog to learn in the environment that she is in most often. I have been talking to multiple dog trainers who train in house. I have gotten quotes from $200-$500, with various extras or additional fees. One gentleman doesn't even guarantee his service, but instead will charge for additional visits (he charges $240 for 3.5 hours). However, he comes highly recommend by my neighbor who runs a dog kennel. Another charges $500 for a few lessons but a 'lifetime guarantee', which I really don't believe would happen (I mean can I really call her in 5 years time?).
What do you think a fair price is? Have you done at home dog training before? What were you experiences with it?

I know we paid alot for Bijiou's puppy training but the people who trained him taught us things as well. Some of the things we paid money for you can get the same from watching shows like the "dog whisperer" and such. Watch a few of those shows and it might save you some money.
Bijiou learned alot and so did we but the guy who showed us things said the person needs to learn just like the dog does...
