I got a lot of pressure and comments when I was training my son. My mother in law thought that I should potty train my son the same way she potty trained my hubby. My hubby potty trained him self and decided that he wanted to wear big kid underware. Im glad she got it easy but my son was harder. We let him take it at his own pace and he figured it out later when there wasnt so much pressure on him.

the later you wait, the harder it will be to potty train your baby. i am starting to potty train my baby at the age of 1.5 years. shes almost there, she tells us when she needs to go poop but not when she needs to urinate. i believe that a child is ready when he or she can take off their own clothes (pants) and can understand what it means to go to the bathroom. it all depends upon the child and when he or she is ready then he or she will tell you. hope this helps.
