Hello! I've been into reminiscing my school life since yesterday, it's kinda i'm a student again..*smile*Remember those girly looking notebooks being passed among students where you're being asked to answer series of questions? Those girly looking notebooks are called Slam book! Slam books are traditional passed around by student who know each other and to know others as well. I had my first Slam book when I was in high school, I remember one of classmate asked me to sign hers. When I opened it, there were series of questions that I have to answer. Started with the basic, What's your name? and then getting personal like What is love?; Who is your crush? and the What is your motto?, then at the end you'll be ask to leave a message or comment to the owner. After I signed hers, I decided I must own one too! In our campus it was like the "in" thing, then everybody started buying one. The more Slam book you're being ask to sign the famous you are..*wehehe* it was like everybody wants to know Who's your crush..especially in our campus of all girls. And we would read the answers all together and then laughed..*hihihi* :::::::::: Here are some of the questions and I could still remember my silly answers..*hihihi*: What is LOVE? Love is like a rosary full of mystery..*yikes corny*; Love is blind; Love is God. What is your motto? If others can do why can't I? Who is your crush? SECRET or the initials like N.M Message: Stay as sweet as you are... :::::::::: Did you guys own a Slam book too? Or signed one? Could still remember your answers to those questions? What's your thought about Slam book? Any fun memories or stories about it? :::::::::: ciao! c",)

None of the schools I ever went to had slambooks. I actually never thought they actually existed. So that's interesting. I wouldn't have participated in one had I had one either to be honest. I never really got that kind of stuff. the most I ever did was write stuff like I

LOL yeah! i remember this stuff! i was an avid signer in those books and i have a few too. ^__^;; before it was fun writing in those books, and we always giggle when guessing who the crush of a friend would be. ^__^;; and we'd get disappointed if we dont know the person. so like we choose who will sign and select those who are rumored to have a crush to people we know. LOL i hate one thing though. the "MTM" acronym for many to mention. who would be happy to read an answer like that for a question who is your crush?? right?? ^__^;;

Hello fab315!(",) Are highschool students think the same? I can actually remeber those questions and the answers sound familiar to me. Slam book also known as autograph is very popular among high school students. I used to sign so many slam books already and there are times when my answer varies especially when asked "what is love/" and who is your crush?". It's really fun to sign because it feels that you are some one special and its one way of getting closer and knowing my friends better. I still have my slam book when I was in high school. I better check it out again and reminisce my high school moments. Great day!(",)

Fun times! Innocent times! nice to reminisce it and laugh at our silliness..I wish I had kept mine, I lost them long time ago..*sigh* have a great weekend! *smile* ciao! c",)

That was nice and great reminiscent!!!! a very nostalgic one. Mine was not Slam Book but 555 Book or famously know as Three Five Book(dimension: 2" X 3" X 20 pages). While waiting my scholarship's disbursement, so I don't have money for my foods and beverages I have no choice unless get it done at student's cafeteria. You want to know how I did it? ehem!...ehem!...ehem!...(*sorry for my small cough...got ii today). I bought that 3-5 book and gave to the Students cafeteria's owner and start negotiating for debt point for approval....by only verbal guarantee that immediately after I got my scholarship I will be making full settlement for any amount recorded as due balance. Yes...I did it, shameful but fruitful...YES YES YES!!! And now that ordeal gave me a very sweet memory and will stay fresh until I die.....a good lesson for my kids. Money is every where, but must be SMART & HONEST.....thats all from me FAB, maybe it's a little bit boring story but for me a valuable true life story!!!!! The 3-5 Book. :::michael:::

I had one when I was in school. Now, I don't have it. I used to fill in all the details that was even personal. Now, I don't believe in those books. I have seen that once those days are gone either these books might be misplaced or thrown away. There is no point in these.

Hey i do remember those days that recollected now really seems so funny...running around passing our slam books and filling our friends books :) Funny answers to questions like: Address: on earth, sweet home...or long addresses including continents space ets Def for love: Love is a sweet poison.. In name of crush they had filled up with names of actors, cricketers or as u said intials of someone in our class.....few answers were secret :) Looking back just brings a smile on my face

Really a nice discussion, fab315:) I did'nt own any slam book, but i had gotten into the habit of filling others' slam book. I would love doing it. I wanted to fill-up each slam book differently and creatively. whenever someone took a slam book out of thier bag, my eyes would be on that. I would eagerly wait to recieve their slam book and leave a longlasting impression. If you see those slam books, you'll surely find various definitions and entries by me, for the same question in different books. I do remember some of the entries i made as it has only been only 5 years since i finished my schooling. They were as follows;- About me: If you are interested enough, you'll find out somehow My dream date would be with: Your girl friend (in a guy's slam book) The rest i remember are a bit boring to share with you, like favourite sports star, actors, cuisines, etc.

*hehe* you're one interesting person and creative too...maybe that's why you got to sign lots of slam books! *hehe*. Good thing you didn't receive any punch on the face when a guy read your answer in 'my dream date would be with' question...*hihi* You made me smile..."whenever someone took a slam book out their bag, my eyes would be on that" just like a hawk eh? waiting....*hehe*..take care and thanks for sharing...*smile* ciao! c",)
