I want to format my computer but I can't get to the BIOS to change the setting. Got any idea on how to go about it?

When you boot up your computer a message should quickly flash across the screen telling you to press a key to get to your BIOS (usually F1, delete, or control). This should take you there. If not, try some of the keys I suggested (as that message flashes by quite quickly).

Actually its not my computer and its a laptop. There's no BIOS to be found. Is it possible that a laptop has no BIOS?

Depending upon ur motherboard and which BIOS. This may change. For information u can see the user's manual u got with ur system. If u dont have one normally when start ur system for a very short time it flashes msg which button should u press in order to go to bios setup. Its mostly DEL,F8,F10 even sometimes F2. When boot ur system try pressing all these buttons simultaneously so that even one of them works then u wil goto BIOS setting. All the best.

Hi katkat. In general, you can acces the BIOS menu when you are trying to turn on the computer and after that press the "Delete" key. This may depends on what motherboard are you using. Succes.
